Unable to sleep, I tossed and turned uncomfortably on the couch. I’d left the room last night because Lilliana had asked me to.

Usually, I’d be on a mat sleeping right next to the bed but since she made it clear to me that she didn’t want to see me, I had to respect that.

My heart raced, it was another day and my eyes had been opened most of the night because her words kept ringing in my head.

‘I don’t know if I have any more chances to give.’ I played her words back in my head and I groaned.

It was killing me, not having her in my life was killing me but I had no other choice. I caused her so much pain, I should be able to take the pain that would come from her possible rejection.

My eyes closed as the clock ticked, it was morning already but it was still dark. Realizing that I wouldn’t be able to sleep no matter what, I left the huge living room in the private wing and made my way to the only bedroom there.
