Because I wanted to finish my work and compile the reports I had, I lost track of time. I could be like that sometimes; Cynthia never got tired of reminding me that I need to do this or do that because I could get so sucked into the work world, I forget to do things.
One time, Louise had been watching me as he leisurely licked his milk, probably wondering what was wrong with me as I sat typing on my laptop while the food I was preparing was burning. The smoke alarm had to ring before I could notice the food was burning and the funny thing was I hadn't been in the room.
