Chapter 10 Loch Ness Monster
Trei led us to another part of the facility. Somewhere deep and cold. The place was similar to the entrance of Grukren’s cave, but this cave is made up entirely of ice. But it wasn’t even dark. More like the ice was glowing. It’s like a sort of light was trapped inside of it.We followed him all through the cave and as we did, we arrived at a dead end. Well, not really. In front of us was still water and the only land that we could find was the one that we were currently on and the other one was at the center. There was no other opening in the cave except the one where we just came from. “Okay…” I said while backing away to avoid slipping and falling into the water. “Trei, please tell me that we are not going to swim. I mean, look at us.” I gestured to Byr

Chapter 11 Sea Goddess
Trei and I both held our breaths as the sea creature continued to stare down at us. Its whole body was submerged in the water and only its long neck was visible for us to see. It was flashing us with its long and sharp teeth and lets out a dangerous hiss directed at us.“Young Lord Nathalia, do not falter and command the creature!” Guill yelled. He and Byron were still at the middle of the platform and directly behind the sea creature. For a brief moment, I was actually worried that the creature would turn to them and attack them instead. Fortunately, the monster was only interested in me.‘You? A young brat like you dares to command me? I am Arion and this area is MY domain!’ The creature lets out a breath that sounded like a scoff.

 Chapter 12 A Chilling Feeling
“Remove that fabric and get in the water.” At that statement, Byron and I exchanged a look before looking at Guill like he’s crazy. My eyes darted towards the icy waters of the ocean. Today, my brother, Trei, and I are out in the field with Guill for the official start of our training wearing only our swimsuits like we were going to the beach. Trei was our chaperone for the day to ensure that Guill’s training won’t kill us, considering the stunt he pulled yesterday.I have to admit that I was pretty excited and I could tell that Byron was as well. That was why we wore the best training gear that we could find in our closets. But it turns out that we were supposed to go in the water and were forced to change into a swimmng trunk and a bikini. I gulped and looked at Guill to m

Chapter 13 Hit Count
“No way.” Byron breathed as a joyous laugh escaped his lips. “Are you serious?”  Skyr grinned proudly at him. “The test was for combat skills. All they did was place us in difficult situations where we had to think of ways to survive. Then they made us fight each other in a battle royal. I have to admit, I had a difficult time as most of the competitors were teaming up to get rid of me.” He says with a chuckle as he lowkey boasted how he took on the rest of the troops. Byron lets out a sigh of relief as he faced the ceiling. “YES! Finally.”  I honestly couldn’t blame his reaction right now. Considering what we have been through, it was nice to undergo training with a familiar face and one that we could trust.  But then, Skyr does tend to get too excite

Chapter 14 The Friendly Killer Whale
Two weeks flew by as we continued our hell training with our two instructors. Currently, we were submerged in the same ice-cold waters in our beach outfits. I still feel uncomfortable staying here for hours, but my body was starting to adapt bit by bit.The first thing that I noticed was I stopped shivering like a newborn chick every time we would get out of the water. I notice these changes on the fifth day when Byron and I were being chased by a killer whale. Oddly enough, I realized why Guill was so keen that our bodies would adapt to the cold. It was because if our body was suffering, we couldn’t focus to use our magic. Even Byron was having a hard time that day. But lucky for us, Byron managed to hold the killer whale for the while to give me enough time to concentrate and ask for the killer whale to leave us alone.

Chapter 15 Invincible
‘Ah, young demigods Nathalia and Byron. I welcome you again to my humble home.’ I immediately heard Grukren say as soon as our eyes met. As I took in his form, I noticed how sunken his eyes looked. And even though I am not familiar with how the stress works on the sea folks, I could immediately guess that it was the case for the old sea-king as the skin under his eyes looks darker. His form looks like he was a frozen corpse as he sat on his ice throne.Beside him, I saw Trei standing beside his grandfather. He looked slightly nervous as he watched Byron and I making our way into the cave. I avoided his gaze as my brother and I stood in front of King Grukren.‘Grukren, I-’ I stopped when I saw Grukren raising his palm up at me to pause.

Chapter 16 Nice Snowy Trail
My fingers wrapped themselves upon the thin parchment paper of the book that I was reading as I flipped it over and over. “This is useless,” I muttered.“What’s useless, sis?” Byron plopped himself down on the ground with me.“This book that Trei gave us yesterday,” I told him and showed him the hardcover of the book.“Do you think he got scared? I mean, even he did not escort us today.” He laid his back on the cold metal wall behind us. Yesterday night Trei stopped by in front of my room to apologize before handing me this book. He said that it was the only book that their private library has about demigods. “Do you want to read it?” I asked him as

Chapter 17 Fake Demigod
I thanked my survival instinct that prodded me to leap to the side as soon as the bear swiped its claws in my direction. I heard a loud crash of claw on metal and looked up as I finally stopped rolling. The already dented control panel now lay on the snowy ground in chunks and pieces. Are bears supposed to be this powerful?!The cub in Byron’s arms started to cry for its mother. The mother bear looked in their direction and started to climb over the satellite platform. This is not good. If this keeps up, there won’t be a satellite to fix, which means that we could potentially lose one of our sources of communication.I ran towards my brother and grabbed the cub from his hands that made the cub cry. Byron looked at me in surprise but it did not fight me

Chapter 18 Will
“Ow!” My whole body jerked in pain as I felt the needle piercing through my skin. “Is there really no anesthesia that we can use?” I gritted my teeth at the pain as the needle once again pierced my skin. I don’t want to sound like a baby, but here I am grumbling like one.“I’m sorry, but as of the moment, we are all out.” The doctor who was stitching my arm said.I heard a chuckle beside me and glared at Bryon. He was biting the inside of his cheeks to fight the grin on his face. “Sorry, but maybe you should not run off on your own next time.”“If it wasn’t for me, you two wouldn’t have finished repairing the satellite peacefully,” I told him. “Right, general?” I asked while looking at Skyr.

Chapter 19 Misunderstanding
The moment I got out of the water after my talk with Grukren, I got dressed and started to rush to the training room. Skyr had already warned me not to show up since it was his order. But I wasn’t going there to train. I was there to talk.As I reached the hallway that was headed for the training room, I paused and immediately hid around a corner when I saw something. Or someone. My heart somehow pounded slowly in my chest as I moved my head to the corner to take another look to make sure that I wasn’t seeing things. Just outside of the training room, I saw Skyr standing outside of the door while talking to another Atlantean girl. She was tall and looked really well built judging from her skin-tight attire that somehow reminded me of our old Atlantean uniforms. I couldn’t clearly see he
