Chapter 51
It has been two months since Joe and Philip's wedding, August. My bundle of Joys are almost eight months old. Grayson and Arielle were busy playing with their toys, that was scattered around the living room and blabbering about whatever it is they blabber about. I have a red apple in hand as I go over the manuscript I am editing. In the last two months, I already started using glasses because I do stare at the screen of my laptop a lot and I have been having bad headaches. "You actually do look sexier with your large glasses. I like it." Jake commented on it the first time he saw me wearing them.I tipped my glasses higher up on my nose to prevent it from falling off. I glanced at the large black wall clock and the time said past eight pm. I should probably take these kids to bed now. I shut down my laptop, "okay kids, it's time to go to bed." I cooed as I picked up Arielle while Grayson continued to play with his toy as he blabbered abo

Chapter 52
"Is your mom still coming to pick up the kids?" I grumbled as I threw the blanket over my body and then stood up from the bed. I walked slowly towards our bathroom, ruhebbing the sleep from my eyes. "Yeah, she is." He replied as he put on his black pants. I stared at my reflection in the mirror and then exhaled loudly. I picked up my toothbrush from where it is usually kept and then put the toothpaste on it.  "You would be gone by then?" I asked as I poked my head into our bedroom and then started brushing my teeth as I stared at myself in the mirror. "Yes. I think so." "Do you really have to go this early?" I asked as soon as I was done brushing my teeth and then walked back into our room. "I do baby." He placed a kiss on my forehead, "I have an early meeting this morning." I groaned, "but we haven't been spending so much time together." I pouted. "I know baby. I know and I will make it

Yes, it went badly. I was supposed to spend thirty minutes max, but no, the woman decided to keep me for an extra hour and theiry minutes. I spent two fucking hours! Two fucking whole hours sitting in a coffee shop, with an old woman who I haven't seen since I was probably five or six. Now imagine eeveything that has happened in here life since then. She decided it was just the right time to tell me everything that has happened in her life, her make son's life- who is about my age range and her grandchildren life. I exhaled loudly as I opened my car door and then got out of the car as I made my way back inside the house with the huge brown envelope. I brought out my phone from my back pocket and then dialed my mom's number as I entered into the elevator. "Hey mom." "Maria! How are you?" "I'm fine. I'm good. I already got your envelope." I rested against the wall of the elevator as I pressed the button to the top floor."Oh t

Chapter 54
‘’Really?’’ I asked trying so hard to hide my excitement from him. ‘’Yes love’’ He answered with a smile. He drops his hands to my waist letting them linger on my butt. I did not say anything about this because I really did miss his touch and having so much of his time like this. It should not be like this but I guess that’s what having children can do to you. I smiled as I looked up at him. ‘’I love you so much Maria’’ He whispered with a look of pride in his eyes. I blushed so had under his gaze. ‘’I love you too’’ I said back to Jake. ‘’No, tell me you love me’’ He begged. I chuckled at his request but obliged. ‘’I love you’’ I said to him truly. I really miss this, having him in my arms and just being with each other.

CHAPTER FIFTY FIVE “Shouldn't we call your mum to bring the kids?” I asked when I stayed in each other arms.  “She has them for a week” He replied, the vibration of his thick, deep voice tickling my ears.  “I didn't pack their bag for a week Jake” I groaned not liking the idea of my children not being with me for this long. This would be the first time this ever happened. “I’ll do that” He offered. I laughed and got away from him. “Thanks for the offer but you and I both know that you wouldn't be able to do that,” I said standing up to walk to the bathroom. I winced in pain. I quickly sat back down. “Fuck” I mutter realizing how sour I am.  Jake moved closer to me and placed his hands on my shoulders. “A massage?”

CHAPTER FIFTY SIX The drive home was really quiet because I didn't know what to say. This is not me. I hate this new person that I am becoming. I've never been the insecure type. Why did the thought of wearing a dress so beautiful terrify me? Maybe because I did not want to embarrass Jake for his meeting tonight. Very close to the house Jake placed his right hand on my thigh and gave me a gentle squeeze. I turned to find him looking at me.“You're beautiful love and I love every inch of you” God no. Does he know what I was thinking?“Thank you” I forced out not wanting to act like this anymore.“I had plans for dinner as a surprise but we will just eat in today” He confessed. So there wa no meeting. I smiled.“I appreciate it, Jake,” I told him. “You’re the best thing that ever happened to me” My cheeks grew redder each second he complimented me.  &nbs

He called when I kept smiling at my hand where my ring was placed. "Hmm" I answered not looking up. "We need to talk" This, caught my attention. "Is something wrong?" He shook his head No, "Everything is great we just need to make some decisions before the dinner tonight." He explained. "Ok. What is it?" I asked. "When do you want us to get married?" He asked me. "I honestly don't care. Anytime you're ready" I answered honestly. "Tomorrow then?" He said. I laughed. "Really? Jake" I was still laughing. "Just kidding. I just want to make you my wife so fast. I can do it now if possible." He said. "Pick any da

Epilogue. (Grayson and Arielle first day of Senior year)
"She is going to make you both late on your first day of school." My mom gave me a pitiful smile as she handed me a plate of sandwhich and coffee.  I gave her a grateful smile and then shrugged, "it's not the first time she will make me late on the first day of school," I adjusted the huge frame of glasses, "or any other day for that matter." I took a bite from the sandwhich.  "Arielle! You're going to make your brother late!" My mom shouted as she placed another plate of sandwhich and coffee on the island.  "I'm coming! Almost done!" She shouted back.  That's what she said ten minutes ago.  My mom sighed as she rolled her eyes and then proceeded to wash the dishes. "That's what she said ten minutes ago." My mom muttered as she continued scrubbing the plate under the running tap.  I laughed to myself, we just said the same thing.
