057 The In-Betweens
Ellis The sun disappeared from the sky, and everything was pitch black. It was like a dream. All the lights in the estate came on, and the workers rushed out to see the sky. A few minutes later, William's phone began to ring, and I knew it was Alex. We had all been waiting for this, and it had finally happened. " Hello," I heard my husband say, and I looked at Audrey and Melena, who were nervous and worried. " Create a light like in the dome," Melena suggested. I tried to, and it worked, but it didn't last. The darkness engulfed it in a few seconds. People's prayers became loud and much. Most people were afraid and wondered where the sun had gone. It caused a ringing in my ear, and a sharp pain followed. I tried to cover my ears, hoping it would stop but it didn't because it was in my head. " You human body can't take the god abilities. You might have to shed it eventually," Abel blurted out, and I linked him to be silent. I had not discussed it with William or anyone. This wasn

058 The In-between Effect
William I couldn't believe my eyes. It was as if we had been gone for ages. I checked my phone for cell service. I was glad to see that it was still on. " I am going to check our children in the dome," Ellis said, sounding tired. I nodded and placed a call to Alex. His phone rang, but he did not pick up. After two attempts. I called Sam, and she answered on the first ring. " William, is it you?' She asked. " Yes, Sam," I said, and she began to cry. " Where did you go? We came, and the estate was gone." She said, crying. " Five months have passed since the incident." She said, and I was in shock. " Where are you?" I asked her, and she cried. " Hiding," She said, and I was shocked. " Why? Where is Alex?" I asked, and she began to cry. I had a foreboding that something bad had happened to him. He was always trying to prove himself. I just hoped he didn't try to be a hero and get himself killed in the process. "William, I need your help," She cried, and I tried to make her calm d

059 While They Were Away
Samantha The sun disappeared from the sky without warning. Alex and I were out in the afternoon shopping when suddenly everything went dark, and lights came on. We knew exactly what had happened, and Alex did not waste time calling William. William told us they were home, and we said we would be there. I was mad at him that he did not request the mages to come and get him because he couldn't teleport there, but he said he wanted to take his father, Robert and his mate, Sylvia, Mason and Rhonda, along with their children to the dome before heading to the white moon pack. Every second counted, and we knew this. We arrived at the yellow moon pack, and people were panicking. A lot of people came to me for answers, and I had none. I was a spirit wolf, not a god. We told them to take cover that evil gods were being unleashed on the earth. Taking turns, Alex and I took the people we wanted to take to the dome one at a time. Thanks to Ellis's quick thinking, the rings she made for us could t

060 A Sad Outcome
Ellis I could not believe all that had happened within the few minutes we were in the in-between. To everyone we had been gone for months, to us, we left a few minutes ago. I blamed myself bitterly. I arrived at the Dome, and it looked more like a refugee camp than a home. I had to work on it a bit. I created real lakes and took more buildings there so people won't live in tents. I did not like the fact that there were strangers there though. I wasn't happy with what Alex and Sam did, so I separated my family and people from the people they brought there. I had to separate them. And put a barrier between my children's guest house and field from the others. Only the people that I brought in could cross the barrier, people that were brought in using the rings could not enter, and I left it that way, making an exception only for Phelix Wildbreed because of Michelle. I thought I would find Alex there, but he wasn't, and I wondered where he was. I tried to feel for him in the dome, but his

061 Alex P.O.V
Alex I was very angry when William and Ellis did not show up. How could they have left without us? We were supposed to be in this together, but they chose to abandon Sam and me at the last minute. I was mad. "Gods are usually selfish and only care about their own," I heard a voice say in my head while we sat on the land that William's estate used to sit on. It sounded like me, so I asked Damien if he had said anything, he said no, and I just summed it up as my thinking. After a week, I was filled with rage. It was very unlike me to be angry, but I couldn't help it. It radiated through me, and Sam could feel it too. She asked me a couple of times if I were okay, and I would often tell her yes. I had a lot of sexual dreams during that period, and I could not tell anyone about the unspeakable things that happened to me in those dreams. I could just imagine the look on Abel's face if it ever got out. He would laugh at me. The wolf god had little or no respect for me anyway. I kept it t

062 Essence
Ellis  I did not know what to do about the Sam and Alex situation. If Apophis' vessel was Alex, then whose body was Luna riding? I was very worried because being in the dark wasn't a good thing. I did not know where they would strike from.  I had expanded the dome and made it more homely for the people there. Luna Michelle and Alpha Phelix were distraught and kept praying about their son. I had to quiet their prayers a couple of times. It was weird that these people did not get the memo that the gods were on leave. Every time they prayed, they threw me off guard completely.  I knew I needed to move quickly. Searching through the memories and knowledge of all three gods, I found nothing that told me how to find Lun

63 The Merger
Samantha My entire world had collapsed. Ellis locked me up in a room, and I did not like it. She claimed it was for my good, but how could it be? My mate was missing. Alex was my life, and I did not know what to do. I hated the fact that I was helpless. I was a bit ill and the mages were trying their best to bring down my fever. Ellis was the most worried. I felt her fear and pain. I did not know how, but for some strange reason, I could understand her plight. With Alex gone, I wasn't of any help or use to anyone. I would often stare out the window. The news wasn't great either. There was no news in the studios anymore. The humans that were fortunate enough to survive attacks usually gave updates from their basements. The vegetation was dead, even the plants that did not need much sunlight to survive had died out, and there was hunger. People were dying of starvation, and the cannibalism rate had increased tremendously. Nowhere was safe anymore. Strange wolves were rumoured to attac

064 Tension
Ellis I remained hopeful that all this would come to an end, but as things were, the dark side seemed to be winning. The fake moon was becoming a serious issue for me because I felt a mad aura radiating from it. The erratic behaviour of people was caused by the energy the moon radiated. The wolves, on the other hand, we're being controlled by Apophis. If Alex was his host, then who was Luna's host? I hated my new job. Being a god sucked, and I wished I could resign after all this, but I knew I wouldn't be able to do so. Helio was very clear on the consequences of taking his essence, and ascension was inevitable. I would have to leave Derek, the twins and William behind. I sat alone in one of the rooms of the dome and wept. The whole thing was overwhelming, and there was no one to lean on. As much as William was supporting me, it wasn't enough. At the end of the day, I was just a human that was given the responsibility of a god. I was prone to mistakes, missteps and miscalculations, an

065 A Moment of Peace
Ellis, Seeing William's state of mind, I asked the mages to go. They hugged me and left quietly. I went to meet my husband on the couch. He had tears in his eyes. I could relate. " William," I said and knelt by the couch. He looked at me, snapping out of his thoughts and sat up. " I have never felt so helpless in my life Ellis," he confessed to me. I used my thumb to wipe the lone tear that had escaped his eyes. He grabbed my hand and kissed it passionately. " I am sorry I can't help you, darling. I feel so useless watching you carry all this weight upon your shoulder. I should share your burden, but I can't". He said, and I hugged him tightly and wept in his arm. All William needed was a break. We had our backs to the wall with nothing to fight with. How did the fates expect us to survive this? " I miss the sun, and I miss the way it made your skin glow, Ellis, and I wished I could put it back in the sky, and you wouldn't have to lift a finger, but I can't. I cannot do anything,

066 The Ring and Evil
Ellis William and I returned to the real world feeling relaxed and renewed. I kept my encounter with the fates personal and, also the fact that she had mentioned Selen and Aries. I did not know when we would meet them, but it better be soon because we were running out of time, and things were already ugly for all of us. I Linked the mages to bring the ring, and Melena said Audrey would bring it. I sat on the couch in William's arms. By now, we kept the curtains closed because there was no sunlight to let in or moonlight to admire, but it was just death and darkness out there. If we ever survived this, I would thank my stars. When my father brought me to the estate, I never knew what life had in store for me. I did not even know about the supernatural world then. My mother told me a lot about them, but I believed they were just stories and unreal and everything was so physical, but now, my perception was different. I had evolved beyond my imagination. From a powerless human that had
