CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE
Diana  TIME SEEMED TO have slowed for Diana, forcing her life to a stop, and limiting her to an enclosed space.  She was not sure how to go forward as everything seemed to force her back, to a past, she wished to get over but could never succeed in doing so.  She wished with everything that she could speak to Robin but his kingdom banned the use of human technology so phones were prohibited.  That morning, she was called to Aiden's office as a call came in from the Werewolf council. The elders learned about her and wanted to meet with her. She was given two days to report to the Capital.  Diana was not sure if she should accept or decline the invitation. One thing she hated the most was being unsure. If Robin were here, he would know exactly what to say.  After the phone call, she left Aiden's office, unsure of what to do. Rudolp

CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO
Rudolph OF ALL THE things Rudolph had been sure of in his life, Lacey topped the list. She was the most beautiful thing in his life at the moment and he would do anything to keep her.  The first time he met her, he was taking a walk by the hillside near the unnamed land which served as the boundary between the Moonshine pack and the Vampire kingdom.  It was the same place from where they ran into the Vampire kingdom after being chased by zombies.  He had been to that boundary land with Diana often as that was where her family was buried. Lacey had been painting and he had not seen a sight more beautiful.  He stood by the edge of the land, gaping at her while she painted until she asked him if he was taking pictures of her with his mind. Embarrassed, he ran out of there without looking back.  The next day, he found her in the market, b

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE
Diana   SHE OPENED HER eyes only to be brought back to the same alternate reality she stayed in while in a coma.    Diana looked around hoping to see the huge purple ball of fur anywhere but was disappointed to see just Selene.    "Hello, Diana," Selene greeted in her usual soft voice.    Diana was prepared for the pain that she expected to accompany that noise but was surprised when she felt nothing. No headache or anything.    She gasped in surprise. "Oh, it's gone."   "I am sorry about the headache, I was trying to force a connection with your mind. For now, I can only come to you when you are asleep," Selene said in an apologetic voice.    "Why?" Diana questioned.    "Someone had caused a great imbalance in the world and the pure energy keeping everything in place has been disrupted.&

CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR
Diana   TILL THE NEXT morning, Diana did not see Aiden. When it was near time for her to leave, she decided to go to him. She stood in front of his office and knocked twice.    At the third knock, the door opened, revealing a stone-faced Aiden with red rims around his irises, making his grey eyes look more bestial.    She cleared her throat as she noticed the same human she saw the last time, sitting cross-legged on the floor beside Aiden's desk.   "Leave, human," Aiden ordered, walking back into the office.    The girl scrambled to her feet, bowed her head and scurried out of the room. However, Diana didn't miss the two punctured holes in her neck.    "Sit, Diana," he told her monotonously.    She eyed the red spots on his collar and gulped, feeling a little uncomfortable. "I just wanted to let you know that I am

CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE
Aiden    THROUGH THE WINDOW of his room, Aiden watched as Diana, Rudolph and a vampire walked out of the castle.    Earlier, the vampire asked him for permission to leave the kingdom with Diana and he granted it.    After what happened in his office, he couldn't bear to face Diana just yet.    Not because he regretted kissing her, but because he couldn't bear to watch her leave and go to another man.    That kiss was the answer to all his questions. It made all his feelings clear.    Aiden was in love.    The thought of him being in love was funny and unbelievable. People would laugh their asses off.    The ruthless vampire king in love?    What a joke.    What was not funny was watching Diana go further and further away from h

CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX
Diana AT FIRST LIGHT, Diana woke up the cuddling couple beside her. Last night, she had not been able to sleep a wink.  It seemed like she was reverting to her old ways when she would go days without sleeping, keeping watch over her friends.  Rudolph immediately knew what had happened, the moment he opened his eyes and he gave her a disapproving look.  "You didn't sleep last night, did you?" He asked immediately.  "Yes, I did not," she responded, not bothering to deny it.  "I thought we were past this, Ana, why did you have to do this?" He scolded, pushing the blanket off him.  "You know why, Rudolph," she told him seriously.  "We are safe… you are safe too." He gestured to the surrounding. "There is nothing out here but us… and maybe some animals. You are being paranoi

CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN
Diana AT THE BORDER, the guards bowed to her. "Lady Moonshine, we have been expecting you," one of the guards informed her.  "The elders are waiting in the council room, I will lead you there," the same guard said.  Diana shook her head. "First, can you show me to a hotel? My companions and I need to change out of these travel clothes."  "Sure, follow me." The guard led them to a hotel called 'The Blue House'. "The Blue House is a four-star hotel. Due to its classic and ancient style, and the fact that it's located a few kilometres away from the border, tourists are attracted to it.  "And for that very reason, it mostly houses them as well as well as other visitors and important guests," he explained, sounding very much like a tour guide.  "Are you a tour guide?" Diana couldn't help but ask an

CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT
Aiden  IT WAS NOT UNTIL evening the next day, that Aiden finally decided to come out of his room. He spent the entire day with the human who he still didn't know the name of.  By evening, he felt like his old self again, the way he used to feel before Diana came into his life. Although the human left his room with bruises, Aiden was left feeling rejuvenated.  Aiden tried to be as careful as he could but humans were the weaklings of all species. He did not mean that as an insult but it was the truth.  Besides, it was not like the girl did not sign up to be his human blood bag.  "Good evening, Your Highness," Richard greeted him as soon as he entered into his office.  "Richard, what is first on the agenda?" Aiden asked.  He sat behind his desk, opening the first file on his table. Richard always arranged t

CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE
Diana AS USUAL HER wish was not granted as she saw King Lennon seated at the front of the table. Immediately she was led into the council room, and her mood was instantly dampened.  She sat down on the empty seat beside a friendly-looking woman and stared at everyone.  "You are beginning to smell more like a human as the days go by, have you not found your Wolf yet, dear niece?" King Lennon asked first, breaking the silence in the room.  Not having it in her to banter with him today, Diana ignored him and looked to the Werewolf council with all intentions of getting this over and done with.  There were twelve council members in total, three women and nine men.  "Ignoring the King? I could have you punished for disrespect," he smirked.  Still, Diana ignored him, edging him on further.

CHAPTER SIXTY
"What do you plan on doing about your Wolf?" Another councilman asked her, choosing to ignore what had happened. Diana appreciated that he changed the topic.  Pulling Diana out of the floor, Councilwoman Dunn helped Diana and placed her on a chair while the others council members watched in shock.  If they were shocked that their king was able to strangle someone, then they had been living under a rock.  "That is why I need to find my mate," she simply responded.  "Then we will help you find your mate," a red-haired female councilwoman said, and Diana opened her mouth to thank her but the woman continued. "If you promise that when you get your Wolf back, you will take the throne away from King Lennon." Rudolph locked eyes with Diana. He knew how much she hated being pressured.  On seeing Diana's expre
