Chapter 151
Cyrus’ pov Osiris asked me to be the one to welcome Kane. He’s another human that is in danger from another pack. Or something. I don’t fucking know. All I know is that Osiris asked if Kane could use my house, since I’m not using it right now. I spend all my time at April’s since I did that fucking pack thing. Since Kane doesn’t has a werewolf partner, Osiris thinks it would be strange letting him in by himself. one will suspect Kane at my house and they will keep an eye on him, until they know they can fucking trust him. I wonder what Kane is involved in. “You’re Cyrus?” a nerdy guy asked me. He wasn’t what I was expecting at all when I first heard the name Kane. Shouldn’t he look like a fucking badasss? He was about my height, was skinny, wore glasses and had a small afro. He honestly reminded me a nerdy Lando from Star Wars. “Yeah, that’s me.” I replied and I shook his hand. “Thanks so much for letting me stay at your house. The who

Chapter 152
Chris’ pov Although I was part of the popular group in high school,  I always felt out of place. My parents weren’t Alpha, Beta or Gamma, but I wasn’t an omega either.  I had the biggest crush on Charlotte, but I knew she would probably end up with a future Beta or Alpha. But I secretly dreamed she was my mate. So when I saw Charlotte again, it felt like a second chance. Looking back, I was a fool. I didn’t even know Charlotte that well and I fell for what I thought she was. I had so little experience with love, the first woman I loved was my mate Nora and she clearly did not feel the same way. I don’t even know if you could call it love. I met her, I felt the mate pule and then she rejected me. It hurt so much, even though I didn’t even know Nora. She rejected me for a human too. The humiliation that followed was like an extra blow. “You’re kind of sounding like a whiny child right now.” Carter said. I was trying to write down how I felt, why I was

Chapter 153
April’s pov “But this is your day! I shouldn’t be complaining to you now. Let’s just get you ready for the best day ever.” Meadow said. She had just told us Chris had been trying to talk to her all week and that she wasn’t sure how she felt about the whole thing. I had a feeling there was more going on. Why would you change your pack so suddenly? Luna Lily mindlinked me, we were all getting dressed for my wedding together. “Meadow is right this is your day. But Chris thinks Meadow might be his second mate, but I want her to make her own decision about this without feeling influenced.” “Wow, that is big! Thank you Luna Lily for telling me. I had a feeling he was here for more than a job change.” I replied, through our link. Meadow was busy applying some make-up to her eyes. I really hoped Chris was the right guy for her. I didn’t expect to find someone after Richard, but Cyrus has been such a blessing. And today we will be officially ma

Chapter 154
Chris’ pov My first week at the Iron River pack went different than I thought. Although most packmembers were nice and welcoming, I miss my old friends and home. I feel like an outsider here and I hoped that starting at school would help. It didn’t though. There is a lot going on at that school, new students and teachers that aren’t sure they want to be around half-bloods and humans. I’ve been having a lot of students in my office, that I have to reprimand for mistreating their half blood students. It's not easy though. I was raised the same way they were, taught that humans are dangerous and not to be trusted. And now they are here in this pack. Cyrus doesn’t seem to be dangerous at all. I ran into him the second day I was at the packhouse. He made Alpha Osiris laugh, which seemed to be impossible. Cyrus asked Alpha Osiris if he knew someone who played piano and I volunteered. I wanted both of them to know they could count on me, that I was a valuab

Chapter 155
Lily’s pov April’s wedding was so special, I could feel the love in the whole packhouse. Everyone was so happy for them. They didn’t want a big party and I could understand why. This was perfect, just the people that were special to them. The only thing that went wrong was when Chris and Meadow started to dance. I looked over at them and they seemed to be getting close. Meadow even placed her head on Chris’ shoulder. But something happened and she ran away. I watched them together and I knew it wasn’t something Chris did on purpose. Although I was still not happy he left Charlotte by herself, I was less angry than Emma was. Emma really hated Chris from that point on. I wanted Meadow to have a chance at happiness. I trusted the Moon Goddess, especially after seeing Eros and Charlotte, and Cyrus and April. They both got a second chance and Chris wouldn’t go to another pack for nothing. He must have felt something. I just hope Meadow can move past her trauma.

Chapter 156
Meadow’s pov It was very strange when Chris shook my hand, the first time we met. I felt something like that before with my first mate. It couldn’t be sparks right? If I hadn’t known about Charlotte, I probably wouldn’t even thought about it. It didn’t matter anyway. How much I went to therapy and how much better I was feeling, I still had that voice inside my head that said I was dirty and damaged goods. When Chris moved here I suspected it had something to do with me, but it couldn’t right? No one was crazy enough to move to another pack for me. We didn’t even talk that first time and he knew nothing about me. All I knew was that Chris had dated Charlotte and she was my Luna’s sister, so I didn’t want anything to do with him anyway. “Or do you?” Aurora, my wolf said. “Stop ignoring those sparks, he sure didn’t.” For some reason it bothered Aurora less what happened at my old pack. Part of me didn’t mind living as a rogue, I let Auro

Chapter 157
Meadow’s povI ran and ran until I was back where I lived for those years after I was banished. Was this where I belonged.“No!” Aurora shouted.“Okay, calm down. I just needed space. I won’t become a rogue again.” I replied.I stopped running when I saw Samira. She had been there for me before. Maybe she could offer some advice now.“Meadow?! Don’t tell me you’ve become rogue again.” Samira said sounding very angry.I shifted back. “No, I just needed to get away for a bit.”I told Samira everything that happened. Leaving out some of the details from that day I so want to forget.“I knew from the moment I saw you something had happened to you. I recognized it. Seeing some many rogue woman go through sexual or physical violence, either before or during their time as rogue.” Samira sighed. “You know I don’t do bullshit, so let

Chapter 159
Osiris’ povThings were a bit hectic right now, but I felt like it was for the benefit of the pack. Our new members might be former rogues, humans or halfbloods, but together we would make this pack even stronger. People like Ishaan and his family added something to our pack, bringing knowledge from the human world that could help us. Before we turn 18 we’re basically human, just with extra healing. But like I saw with Lily when she broke her ankle, she still needed regular care. Some fitted right in, while others needed to adjust to our ways. Especially those who had lived as rogues for years. I was worried Cyrus couldn’t handle bossing some of the former rogues around, but he had found his way. I overheard him giving a speech on the first day.“I might be a fucking human and I know you can all beat the shit out of me. But you are not here for me or for your new alpha. You’re fucking here to help these damn animals and you

Chapter 160
Osiris’ pov I didn’t have time to question my decisions or feel bad about endangering my pack. I had to focus and get a plan ready. Riker called all our allies to join the fight, but it would take a few hours to get here. I mindlinked everyone the plan. All the halfbloods and humans would stay in the old Blood River packhouse together with the kids and elderly. April would join Cyrus and Oliver, seeing that she wasn’t as fast as the rest. We had chosen the Blood River packhouse, because it had been abandoned ever since we merged our packs. The wolves that were attacking us wouldn’t suspect it, they’d think we’d hide our new members in our packhouse. Well, at least that was our hope. It was also far away from our border, so hopefully far away from battle. “I want you to stay here with Asher too. I know you’re the Luna and you want to fight by my side, but I need someone to protect the humans. They should feel like they’re important enough that their L
