Silas’ POV:A Few Years Ago:The engagement has worn me out. I was physically present at the moment and got engaged to Roxanne, but I was mentally absent. I couldn’t help but think about what that girl said and that little baby in her arms.“Rick,” I said his name as we took a stroll together. The venue was still intact in their garden; the weather was started to get worse as it had already rained a couple of hours after our wedding.It was midnight and I wasn’t able to get any sleep. I stayed there whilst he slept in my lap. I wanted to slide his head down in the bed and get away from him but something inside me was stopping me from moving away from him.It wasn't a lie that I have not been able to get over him entirely but at least I had been trying to do good. He seemed at comfort when in my lap, I never noticed him having sleep issues because recently, he had been falling asleep a lot.
