ALEXA'S POV The previous night had been well spent, yes, and the morning, but after everything there was still reality which I had to fall back too; Calan had to leave for the office and I had to ready myself and head to classes in spite of the dull ache in my abdomen. I didnt even consider it an ache really, cause anytime I felt it I couldn't help but recall the happenings of last night, I couldn't help but recall how I had screamed, how I had shut my eyes and thrown my head back in complete and absolute pleasure. It had been better than the last time, and I couldn't help but wonder if the next time would be even better. I was out in sitting in the shade of an apple tree on my own when Sasha and Rayne joined me, and it was only then I realized I needed some company, I had been thinking about the exact same thing all day and I was afraid I'd get hurt from over thinking it all. I needed a change of thought, I needed something else on my mind. "Hello Mrs. Billionaire". Sasha greeted

When Sasha had said 'shopping' I hadn't thought she had meant going to procure an insane am out of lingeries and scandalous clothes. We had headed to the mall after classes and she had ganged up with the young clerk there in making me miserable. "Oooh, this one looks tempting enough". She said holding up a small red fabric which I couldn't quite make sense of at the moment. The clerk nodded in complete agreeance. "It'll go well with her skin". She said. "I can almost picture it accentuating those delicate curves". My cheeks flamed even more and I cleared my throat quietly. "Don't look so shy, Alexa, it's just us girls here". Sasha said to me. I knew, but it couldn't be helped. "Pink or green?". She asked the clerk. She thought it through for a moment before responding. "Green. It'll go well with her eyes!". She said and Sasha nodded in agreement. "Indeed it will". She said as she tossed a green cloth into the shopping cart. "What's your man like anyway? Does he like you b

It was late when I got back home, and though I was exhausted I felt good about myself to some extent. I knew I looked good after having my hair straightened so it fell to my lower back, and my new nails, they were a bit longer than usual so I found it a bit uncomfortable, but they looked good so I was determined to get used to them soon enough. A maid hurried to me and took my shopping bags the very second I stepped into the house, and tbough I insisted that I was fine carrying then on my own she chose to take them from me nonetheless. "Your hair looks so good ma'am". She said to me and I couldnt help but blush. "Thank you". I said. "You're most welcome. The boss wishes to have dinner with you in his suite". She informed me. And I nodded simply. It was probably a good time to show off my new looks, and probably try out one of the 'decent' night dresses Sasha had picked. As usual, I headed to my room, fresher up quickly and got dressed; only this time I wasn't wearing one of my

There had been nothing wrong with how he had spoken to her the other day right? Absolutely nothing at all, Michael tried to convince himself. All he had done was set barriers between them, proper and well needed barriers. Their relationship—whatever it was that was between the both of them, it was sinful and only attracted pain to the people around them. Yes, see in the tears in her eyes had sought to unnerve him, but he had reminded himself that if had to be that way; she was after all not just his best friend's wife but his student as well, there had to be barriers between them. He had done the right thing.... He had done the right thing, but why did he feel like this? Why did he feel even worse than he had felt about the whole thing initially? "What's on your mind?". His gaze which had been glued to the coffee mug in front of him quickly snapped back to April's on hearing her speak. "Nothing much, just work I suppose". He told her. She nodded though she seemed unconvinced.

THIRD PERSON' S P O V it was early in the day yet both men found themselves in a bar conversing while swirling the brown liquids in their glasses which niether had bothered to drink from. There was a lot that needed to be said and luckily they happen to have the power to ditch work whenever they wanted. "So she wants kids". Calan was saying. "And it bothers you". Michael nodded. "Yeah, but why?". Calan asked him. He had never been opposed to the thought of having children, a slut he'd had a one night stand with could call call him up and tell him she was carrying his child and he'd be glad. And goodness, when his own wife had been pregnant....it was as though he would suddenly grow wings and fly. "I guess I just don't want to bring a child into my life right now, not when everything's so....complicated". Michael replied. He set the glass down before rubbing his temple wearily. Complicated..... Calan could almost understand how complicated his life must be but the fact tha

ALEXA'S POV "He didnt like it? What kind of a man is he? Who wouldn't like a nice little package like yourself?". Sasha raved on. I blinked my eyes a couple of times to clear the tears in them, just think about how it had gone yesterday caused my heart to ache all over again. After rushing to my room I had quickly climbed onto my bed and let all the tears and sobs out, I had cried so much, I had cried till my eyes were sore and till I could hardly breathe at all, and I had fallen asleep. "He didnt exactly say he didn't like it.....". I said quietly. "His......reaction.....it just wasn't what I thought it would be". That night had undoubtedly gotten into my head, it has made me bold enough to think that there actually could be something between the two of us, had made me bold enough to think that he could actually see me in a different way, that he could actually learn to love me. "I'm sorry, honey. I just...I have no words at the moment". Sasha said shaking her head. I couldn't

FORTY SIXTHIRD PERSON'S POVIt wasn't like Calan hadn't known there'd be repercussions for drinking just as little alcohol as he had consumed earlier, he had known but he hadn't cared and he till didnt; he had no regrets. He had returned to the office and had continued his activities hoping that he could drown himself in his work and forget all about what had been discussed with Michael. However, he soon begun feeling the dull ache in his chest and the nauseous dizziness that came with either not taking his drugs or consuming something was wasn't supposed to. Of course he had ignored it, but he eventually had to ask his secretary to alert the doctor when he begun to sweat profusely and his vision begun to blur, not to mention that his body begun to tremble. In short, he had spent the day at the hospital, and it was only when the doctor had been convinced that he was stable did he let him leave."It's getting late, Waltz". ALEXA'S POV To say my day had wad going agonisingly slow would be an understatement, it was probably because my mood wasn't getting any better, how could it anyway? I had convinced myself that there was no need to be hung up on the whole thing; i had seen him today after all, and he looked alright, and that was all that should have mattered. If he didn't want to tell me about what was going on in his life then it was fine, his business was his business. It was Friday, Friday meant a Philosophy class with Micheal. I had considered ditching the class but even i knew that wasn't such a good idea, plus it was so very unlike me. I had chosen to seat at the back of the hall so our gaze wouldn't meet by any means. And so far i was doing just fine here, but as i watched him lecture I couldn't help but wonder how he had changed so much; it was difficult to explain, like, he was the same person but he had changed so very much, there was this complete and absolute humorless aura surrounding

Third pereon's pov Dinner was mostly quiet; Alexa and Calan sat in the dinning hall having their dinner quietly, it was almost as though it was the only thing they could do without causing each other any sort of bother. Calan had accepted the fact that Alexa was hurt and upset to the point that she could only tolerate his presence because she loved him, and Alexa had accepted that she could only do nothing but tolerate his prrsence because she so deeply loved him. And when the silence begun to get deafening and unnerving Calan spoke. "What are your plans for tomorrow?". He asked her. She probably should have inquired about why he was asking before she responded but she didn't, she knew it would lead to nothing but more hurt. "I'm attending a party tomorrow". She replied quietly. Calan couldn't stop his brow from arching slightly. "A party?". He asked her, he didn't want to sound like he was blatantly not in support of her attending a party. "What kind of party?" He wasn't pa

Third person's pov The day had fortunately gone by quickly and Alexa found herself brushing her haid once more to make sure she looked alright. It was time for the party and Sasha had texted her the address saying she told a couple of people she would be in attendance and they were expecting her. Her excitement had built up even more but with it came the usual anxiety, and for a moment she just sat in front of her dressing mirror staring at her reflection while deliberating on what to and where to go from here, while trying to decide whether or not she truly wanted to attend the party now. What if no one wanted her there? What if people made fun of her, what if someone tried to harras her? What if she seemed out of place, she couldn't help but think about all that at once. She had to accept that she looked different in the dress she was wearing, looked nothing like herself at all, and though she looked beautiful she couldn't help but feel insecure about her looks. She was dressed i
