Chapter 51: Rogue Rebellion
Titus Bane “Mommy! I want my mommy!”  I woke up to the sound of Neo screaming so loud I could hear it from inside the room.  Still a little groggy, I turned over to the other side of the bed to grab my phone and check the time.  Five forty five in the morning. Not really eight hours of sleep, but this was more than enough. I needed to start my day as there were far more important matters to attend to such as one, find Keira.  And two, basing on the screams, helping tame Neo’s outbursts.  Just as I was getting out of bed, the door swung open and Zane came in looking like he had

Chapter 52: Four Assholes
My body has never felt pain like this. It feels like I’m being stabbed over and over again at every inch of my body.  Every move I make, even if it’s barely considered a movement, there is like a surge of electricity that travels all throughout my nerves. I know it’s because of all the silver surrounding me. The chains that are used to bind me burns through my skin. The walls make me feel weak just by looking at them. The bars of this prison cell taunt me, make me remember every second that I’m trapped here with no escape.  The life of freedom that I once lived was taken away from me in the blink of an eye.  Until now, I have a hard time understanding what really happened becau

Chapter 53: Last Meal
“Inigo!” The voice came from a few feet away, but it was so loud that the whole place vibrated. Asshole two, who was apparently Inigo, was clearly terrified by it as his body cowered and he quickly withdrew away from me. Soon, three other wolves appeared and one of them, the tallest and biggest, approached Inigo with a daunting presence. “What the hell did I say about getting too close to the prisoner?” Prisoner? What an honor to be called such an endearing name. Is this how they treated most of the supposed Lunas of their Pack? If so, please, I would rather pass my title to someone else. “S- sorry, Loki. I didn’t mean to.” Inigo quickly apologized with a small bow. Loki? Who is this Thor ripoff? When I squinted my eyes, that’s when I realized that the man in question was actually asshole four. The worst of them all (although that’s not really saying a lot because they were all somewhat equally awful). The Thor ripoff didn’t even acknowledge Inigo as he merely looked awa

Chapter 54: Ruthless Alpha
It shouldn’t be like this. None of it should. I thought my life was going so perfectly until everything was turned upside down.  Just three weeks ago, I was getting ready to spend my son’s birthday and in the blink of an eye, everything had changed before I could even understand what was going on.  Now I’m here, alone, trapped, and with nobody to confront with what I had just discovered about Titus and the fact that I may be living my last few hours of my life on Earth.  Nothing felt… real.  “Fuyu…” I confided in my head, closing my eyes, and trying my best to bring out my wolf.

Chapter 55: Bloodied Hands
“Why?” That was all I asked. Just one word because I didn’t know what else to say anyway. Inigo understands the question though because he starts to open up in a way I hadn’t expected him to. “We don’t believe in mates. Supposedly.” He began and already I was so confused. What kind of wolves didn’t believe in them? It doesn’t make any sense. “It- it’s complicated, but basically mates make us weak. We consider them as a weakness, so a lot of the wolves from Blazing Wolves actually choose who they want to be with based on strength, not by bond. Mate bonds are impractical because you can’t choose who you want to be with and sometimes the bond overpowers you that you can’t do anything else, but follow

Chapter 56: End Begins
River Colden I didn’t think it could happen so soon, and though it still felt surreal, I took in everything that was happening as much as I could in fear of it being taken away from me out of nowhere. “Have you ever gone inside one? A treehouse?” I asked Neo who was seated next to me, a bowl of chips in between his legs as his eyes were glued on the television screen where kids formed a club inside a treehouse. It was day two since Keira had disappeared and while I was of course worried, the best thing I could do during this situation was to keep Neo safe and ultimately, take his mind away from the fact that his mother wasn’t here yet. It did take a while for him to warm up to me, but after what Titus said to him yesterday, I brought out some toys and we began to play together. Zane would join from time to time, but he was more focused on helping in regards to Keira’s disappearance. Neo shook his head. “I didn’t even know they existed!” He said as his eyes lit up as he continued

Chapter 57: Losing You
Titus Bane Two Days Ago “Are you serious? You’re seriously stepping down as Alpha? What– how– no, that– that’s not a good idea!” Cyrus was at a loss for words. It was obvious as he kept stammering and was unable to finish a proper sentence. We had just captured a wolf that is, as far as we know, a part of the group who have chosen to betray their Pack and their Alpha, so technically speaking they can already be considered rogues. I just didn’t think it would happen to my Pack. Or maybe I did. I guess it was only a matter of time that others decided to rebel against me because of the way I ruled as Alpha in the Blazing Wolves. I admit that I am strict, that I like to do things with a hard conviction, and maybe a lot of them saw it as ruthless or merciless, but I honestly didn’t see it that way. I used to think I was doing them all a favor. All I wanted was to raise a Pack that was strong, indestructible, and ones that were ready to face anyone and anywhere. No weaknesses. Some

Chapter 58: Seven Days
My head felt like it was being smashed by Thor’s hammer constantly and my throat was as dry as the Sahara desert. “Water… water…” I managed to mumble as I let my hand out, trying to reach for something, anything. A few seconds later, I hear some noise at the side and a straw is placed near my lips. Without thinking of anything else, I quickly take long sips to quench my thirst. “Slowly, slowly or you’ll choke on the water.” The deep voice said and hearing that as well as coming back to my senses because I was no longer dehydrated made me realize that I was not alone in the room. After getting enough water, I push myself to open my eyes and that’s when I see a familiar face smiling back at me. “Zane…” I say barely audible as I’m still trying to get my voice back. It sounded rough and coarse like I have somehow been screaming for three hours non stop. “Hey, don’t talk so much yet. You’re still healing. Do you want ginger and lemon tea? It’s good for your throat.” Zane asks as

Chapter 59: Another Life
Zane stared at me like I had just cursed at him. “What? What did he do? He saved both you and Neo, K. What are you talking about?” He looked at me like I had gone mad and I could understand his confusion. For someone who did so much for me and my son, he was probably thinking I was ungrateful for calling him a monster. “You don’t get it, Zane. I… The reason I was taken. It’s because of him. He… he’s a ruthless Alpha and I need to get out of here. We both need to get out of here!” I pushed his hands away so that I could get off of the bed. “K, calm down. I don’t know exactly what happened, but I think I have some idea.” He turned away from me as he looked like he was getting something out of his pocket. He then looked back at me as he was now holding out a piece of paper in between us. “What is that?” I looked at it and back at him. He shrugged his shoulders. “It’s from Titus. Whatever he did, it must be explained there. You know honestly, I was also confused as to why he a

Chapter 60: Kiss Him
“Why is your hair white? Are you old?” Trinity asked as he looked at Zane like he’s a television show character and not a real live person. Zane let out a soft laugh. “Come on now, I’m a young buck. Just like everyone here, including you, have different shades of red on your hair, back in my Pack we have shades of white, silver, and blonde.” “Oh… You’re like Elsa!” Trinity squealed. “Do you know Let It Go? Can you sing it? Pretty please? Can you make ice come out of your hands too? Please, Uncle Zane!” Trinity stood up from the blanket we had laid out on the grass and started singing and twirling around, her tutu skirt swirling around with her. It reminded me of Elura and Wynter. Trinity would gush if she ever saw the two because she’d think they were really Elsa. “Yeah, Uncle Zane, go and sing with her.” I said to the already blushing-from-embarrassment man next to me. “Alright, alright, but if any of this appears online, I’m suing for emotional damage.” He announced before
