The Confession
Most of the students, including Razel followed us outside, but Felise and I already shifted into wolves and run as far away from the ballroom as fast as possible. In the middle of our running, I began talking to Felise in a calm and soothing voice, helping her to focus on her breathing and stay calm. Minute by minute, Felise began to regain control over her wolf. Her urge to run and hide began to fade away, but we continued running to make sure no one could follow us. On top of that, I could not feel her overflowing rage compared to earlier. She then glanced at me with gratitude in her eyes, knowing that I just saved her ass from an undesirable and dangerous situation. "Thank you, Ezra," she uttered, her voice static. "I should be the one thanking you, Felise." I humbly said back. "You made one of my dreams come true - to join the Grand Ball for the first time." Who could have thought Felise needed to experience being humiliated before she could finally sh

Second Test
"We're not yet done, Ezra," Razel said in a threatening tone. He even pointed a finger at me. "Better know your place. Felise and I are in a relationship. And you cannot change that." After letting out those words, Razel and his brothers evacuated the place right before Robert and his friends arrived. "Where is he?" Robert asked, his voice blazing in a fire. A threat next to a threat. That was how I can describe my wolf's current situation. My stepbrother just threatened me ten seconds ago, yet I believed another threat would come next. But, even if Razel treated me like shit earlier, he was still my stepbrother. And I am not going to sell my brother to them. So, I said, "Use your werewolf senses, Robert. Check every corner of the convenience store if I hide my brother inside." Robert bumped into my shoulder before he and his brothers went inside to see if I hide Razel. Idiots. What's the use of their werewolf senses if they cannot sense him despite the distance?

The Truth Behind Lies
The worst part is that it was just the two of us in the middle of the woods. Our last encounter with a monster was with my stepbrother. If it was the same monster, I'm afraid there is only one solution for us to stay alive - to run as far away as possible and as fast as our wolves can. As I was about to reach Felise's hand, a huge black buffalo was making its way toward the deer, its predatory instincts activated. Felise looked at me in surprise, communicating with me silently. She knew what she must do. Felise prepared her claws and fangs, and with powerful yet graceful strides, she made her way toward the buffalo and deer. My wolf simply watched in awe as Felise approached the two wild animals. That this was dangerous - both animals were much larger than Felise in her wolf form. But I can see that she seemed fearless, slipping between the two creatures and outmaneuvering them. Soon enough, the deer and buffalo's heads were hers, and she proudly carried them bac

Felise in the Foreign Land
The next day, I wanted to ensure that everything would go smoothly, so I brought something for Felise to protect herself if my wolf cannot. Something that even an alpha cannot endure. "Are you sure you are going to do this? I mean, our situation was most likely similar in that we are feeding our meat to an unwelcoming group of werewolves." I uttered, trying to scare Felise for her to back out. Felise and I were occupying a rented car that was parked in front of the convenience store. She was seated next to me in the driver's seat. And I could not deny the fact that part of me wanted to go alone. That was why I tried to convince her not to go while she still has the chance. Once the engine of the car started, there will be no hopping off. Our next hopping off is when we reached the village of my old pack. "Don't worry about me, Ezra," Felise said, her voice sounding with enough confidence. "And besides, you already taught me the basics of being a werewolf. I can even occasionally en

A Night in the Motel
The pack welcomed us with suspicion and made it clear that we were not welcome. The atmosphere becomes tense, and I could sense that Robert and his brothers were nearby. As we made our way to Dustine's house, Robert appeared out of nowhere, accompanied by his brothers. "What brings you here, Ezra?" Robert asked, his tone laced with anger and hostility. My wolf remained calm, despite the obvious threat, knowing that I had a task to take care of. "Get out of here, Ezra, and tell your stepbrother that his end is near," Robert snarled as he shifted into werewolf form. "We have no time for your dilemma, Robert," I said, my eyes sharp while looking at him. "Are you not contented I broke your bones the other day?" Robert rolled his eyes in anger. Still, his wolf chickened out and flashed at the speed of light the second I glowed my eyes in front of him. Then I smiled at Lance and the rest of the werewolf guardians who witnessed the incident. As soon as we got int

Lost in the Full Moon
As the night went on, I could not help but notice having a hard time adjusting to the small share she had on the bed. She kept tossing and turning, trying to find a comfortable position. So I quietly sat up and placed my hand on her arm. She did not stir, giving me the chance to know she was already deep in sleep. I gently pulled her towards me, placing her head on my chest. Then I wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close, careful not to wake her up. The warmth from my body seemed to calm her, and her breathing gradually become steadier compared to earlier. Once I settled her on my shoulder, I listened to the sound of her breathing. I was relieved that she was finally able to sleep soundly. But something caught my attention, and I could not help but stare at her face. We were so close that I could see every little detail of her features. The curve of her eyelashes, the dimply on her cheek, and the small scar above her left eyebrow. I had never noticed these

At the Count of Three
Before the humans could reach our spot, I managed to drag Felise's wolf out of the road by force and dragged her into the woods. I shifted back into my human form and take hold of her dense fur. Then I continued pinning her to the ground behind the dense bush until the end of the full moon. I lifted my head to the sky. Based on my observation, the full moon is about to end in ten to fifteen minutes. It means that a lot of things might happen within those long minutes. "Do you have any idea what happened back in the motel?" I started conversing with her wolf while reminiscing the moment. Felise responded to me with a groan, meaning she was still not in the right mind. "I hugged you that night so you could sleep better. Truth be told, I almost kissed you. But I realized that it was wrong. I know how important you are to my stepbrother." Then I scoffed shortly before I continued. "Our wolves were supposed to be mated with each other already. We were like husband and w

Followed
"What?" Felise asked in confusion, as she tried to make sense of the situation. "What about you?" "What's wrong?" asked the rogue wolf. "What happened to the confidence earlier?" "Don't worry about me, Felise. I'll start the count, okay?"I said while ignoring the rogue wolf's growls. I began counting out loud, slowly and steadily, trying to stay calm. The sound of my voice echoed through the dark forest as I continued. "Ready... One... Two... RUN!" As Felise and I ran through the forest, my heart was pounding and my lungs were burning. We had stumbled upon a pack of rogue wolves, and now they were chasing us through the trees. Felise was supposed to face one of them, but none of us had predicted that we would meet ten of them. I looked back over my shoulder and saw the wolves gaining on us. Their eyes glowed like red coals in the darkness, and I could hear their ragged breaths and the sound of their claws scraping against the forest floor. I knew that if th

Capturing A Rogue Wolf
"What do you want?" I mustered the courage to let out those words even if my mouth was already dehydrated. Part of me wanted to turn around to see the man's face. However, I guess it will be better this way when my wolf already gets scared enough. "Did you and that woman get home safe last night?" he asked, but my wolf doesn't know if I am obliged to answer his question. "Answer me!" he exclaimed, this time, his voice was mixed with growls. "Yes. We got home safely last night." I could not help but clench my fist when my heart and brain agreed on one thing - to run away as fast as my feet can. Unfortunately, the idea did not harmonize with my body as it remained as hard as steel. "Where is she right now?" he asked again. "Let go of him, you, monster!" exclaims another man from the corner. The man was tall, probably an inch taller than me. If I assumed, he might already be in his sixties. He had broad shoulders and a muscular build, and his piercing blue

Silver Dagger
Right after my shift, I rushed to the school to talk to my stepbrother. If Melissa's advice will work, I don't need to get paranoid anymore. I can now sleep at night. As soon as I found Razel, I did not waste my time and told him my purpose of approaching him in the study hall with his werewolf brothers. Two brains are better than one. We came up with a plan to help Felise finish her last werewolf pack test. Finishing the last test was the only way to protect her from the rogue wolves who were threatening us. I believe that the one sending her those messages is one of those rogue wolves we encountered the other night. But what confused me the most was how they got Felise's digits. The pack test was a grueling challenge that tested the limits of our bodies and spirit. It was a rite of passage that all werewolves had to endure to become full members of the pack. It involved running, fighting, and tracking, all while under the watchful eye of the pack elders. F
