To sleep
Bella's Pov I knew that I would've been smarter had I went to a normal school. I always begged my mother to let me be normal. I had deserved to have friends but she refused. I was required to be homeschooled. She insisted that I could not trust anyone because all they would want is the power that I held. She never missed a moment to tell me how easy someone could deceive me. "You know it's never too late to take back your life. Fix what your mother broke." Lucas whispered near my ear causing me to shiver from the way his breath tickled the back of my ear. "What, what are you doing?" I stuttered as my waist was grabbed and I was pulled back into his firm chest. "Talking to you." He whispered near my ear. The intoxicating scent of his cologne almost had me relaxing into him. Luckily my resolve was stronger than his seduction. "I don't want to talk. You need to leave now." I demanded sternly. "You can go to school and experience all of the moments your mother stole from you."

By her 18th birthday
Third person Pov The dimly lit conference room was silent except for the man who was typing away on his laptop. Minutes had went by as the short man looked over the results, making sure to double check everything so that he didn't make a mistake. He kept looking down at his note book and back towards his laptop with furrowed brows. "So?" Someone asked finally breaking the silence that had became deafening in this room full of powerful men. The man quickly fixed his glasses and looked up from his laptop with a pale expression on his face. All eyes were on him and he couldn't help but pull at his collar out of nervousness and fear. For over 8 years he had worked countless hours to find a way to be able to attack the brain of someone whose body would protect them. After thousands of failed attempts and countless sleepless nights he finally succeeded. He had assumed it would only be a one time thing but he had realized too late that the men he had worked for were on a mission.

Door
Bella's Pov (5 months later) Tears streamed down my face as I stared at the door that was stuck. No matter what I did I couldn't figure out how to open it. I had pulled on what I assumed was the door handle but it did nothing even though I had pulled on it with all of my strength. I was starting to question if it was actually a door. I had woken up without any memories and if not for me somehow knowing words I would've been lost. I had spent a long time saying words out loud and putting them together. Now I was questioning if I was even saying the right words. I sat back down on the bed and stared at the door. It had to be a door. I looked over at what I assumed was the bathroom and furrowed my brows. "Knock." I whispered as I tried to remember what that word meant. "Knock on the door." I whispered as a sniffle left me. How did I knock? I knew how to walk because it required moving my legs. So walking was what I did to move. My chest tightened as confusion clouded my mind aga

Bella's Pov "It seems like Bella's accident has taken away all of her past memories ." The doctor stated as he held something in his hands. "I can remember words." I blurted out loud. All eyes turned towards me and I could only look away. Having others look at me wasn't pleasant. "Sweetheart knowing words doesn't help if you can't remember anything." The man who was supposedly my father stated. "Why can I remember how to talk but nothing else?" I asked as I turned to the man who's hair was a color I didn't remember. My eyes watered as I realized that I was more confused than earlier. "It seems like only certain parts of her brain didn't get affected. That being said we'll have to get her into therapy so she can relearn everything that she’s forgotten." The doctor stated confidently. "But I remember words. Shouldn't my memories come back?" I asked with what I could only assume was hope. The doctor stared at me with sad eyes that didn't help the fear “It’s not that simple.” He

Emotions
Bella’s Pov (2 weeks later) “Bella are you listening?” The doctor that my father hired asked. I looked over at the card that he was holding and frowned. “That’s a car.” I mumbled as I looked at the picture that looked exactly like the black car my father drove us around in. The doctor gave a slight nod as he set the card down and pulled out another one. My chest tightened as a picture of some type of animal came up. Why were there so many animals? “It’s a raccoon.” I stated not really sure if I was right. I mean it looked like it could be a big raccoon. He narrowed his eyes at me as he reached over to the alphabetical picture box he had. He skimmed through it until he pulled out a card and turned it towards me. “This is a raccoon Bella.” He said through a sigh. I looked at the little animal that looked like it had black glasses on its eyes and frowned. He was grey and white and black. I looked over at the card of the animal that looked like a big dark brown raccoon and narrowed

Made me feel
Bella’s Pov (three weeks later)! “We should’ve came here as soon as the doctor told us to.” I sighed as I ran my fingers over all of the colorful acrylic paints that were in one of the aisles of the art supply store. “It’s been a busy last few weeks, sweet heart.” My father stated behind me. I had become accustomed to my father and husband always having work to do. So I was grateful for the days we got to do things together I grabbed a green colored paint and threw it into the cart that my father was pushing, not bothering to ask if it was okay since I was told I could get whatever I wanted. “I know you have a lot of work to do.” I said as I grabbed a burgundy color and threw it into the cart. “We both do my love.” Lucas whispered near my ear. I was prepared for him to pull me back into his chest but when he didn’t I felt a little disappointed. I had became used to him always wanting to touch and kiss on me. Even without my memories he didn’t seem to care. I could tell he

Date
Bella’s POV (one month later)“I don’t think I’m dressed for this.” I said lightly as we walked through the dimly lit restaurant. The simple pink dress that Lucas picked out for me to wear didn’t seem like it was appropriate. It was lose fitting and had big white buttons going up the front of it. It looked more like something I would wear to the mall maybe, not a fancy restaurant. “I think you look ravishing.” Lucas said as he pulled out my chair. I tried to give a smile but I could only assume it looked more like a grimace. These last few weeks I had hardly seen him and when I did the day never went how I thought it would. “If you say so.” I said as I sat down and put my hands on my lap. Even with just a black button down sweater, Lucas still looked like he belonged here. His dark jeans could pass for dress pants if you didn’t look close enough. All while I looked like my mother had dressed me. My chair was pushed in and Lucas walked around the table that seemed to be too long

Lost my appetite
Bella’s Pov Lucas looked at me with hooded eyes. The annoyance in his gaze had me looking towards the window that was too far away. This was probably the worst spot to be at in this restaurant. Anything that could hold my attention was too far away. I had no where to lay my head at and nothing to look at unless I wanted to be nosy and stare at all the guests as they actually enjoyed their meals. “Next time we will go alone.” Lucas stated in a low tone that held a hint of anger in it. Why was he angry when they lied to me? “I don’t want to.” I stated as I turned back towards him. “You don’t want to?” He asked seeming surprised. “No.” I mumbled. I had held a lot of hope out for our marriage but every day made me a little bit more and more disappointed and now I didn’t think there was any redeeming it. It seemed like the night had turned awkward instantly because of my words. It wasn’t my fault that they lied to me and said this was a date and now I was starting to be in a su

The night
Bella’s POV I grabbed ahold of my napkin and gently dabbed my lips that now had Alfredo all over them. I tried to act indifferent as I wiped my mouth like I was a proper princes. “I think you forgot a little on your cheek.” Lucas stated as he pointed to the right side of my face. My cheeks heated up as I quickly wiped my face a little more thoroughly, not wanting to miss anything. The rough cloth napkin didn’t feel like it belonged in this restaurant or maybe I was the one that didn’t belong. I hadn’t seen anyone really use their napkin besides for their lips. I set my napkin down and looked at Lucas with a forced smile. He hadn’t even bothered to touch his food. He was too busy staring at me intently, telling me that he was probably judging me. “You should eat your food before it gets cold.” I stated as I grabbed my fork and looked back down at my food. I was more careful this time in making sure I didn’t just stuff my face. I pushed the fork into the pasta like my father h

Pick up Bella
Bella’s Pov “You know I was thinking about asking my dad if we can have another party on the yacht.” Melody the girl with the ginger hair and green eyes stated as everyone besides me relaxed around the table as they drank their wine and talked. Lucas instantly smirked at her words as he took a sip of his wine. I shouldn’t have been interested but I couldn’t help but wonder why he was smirking like that. He had spent the last hour looking at me every few minutes to see if I was really not going to talk. He had joined in on the conversation occasionally but other than that his face was always neutral. “Are you sure your father will allow that after what Lucas did?” Penelope the girl next to me asked. My brows furrowed and the need to know what had happened sky rocketed. I stared at Lucas who was now staring at me intently.“Let’s not rehash the past.” He stated as he sipped his wine, never breaking eye contact with me. “But that was one of the best nights of my life.” Crystal th
