Adrian held onto Bartram as they walked towards the border to Venomiya pack. Bartram had failed to convince him about not going into the pack. They were almost at the border and Bartram could feel the hair at the back of his neck stand up. Adrian was leading the way with a courageous look on his face. Bartram knew it was because he thought he had seen the alpha and nothing was going to happen."I still think this is a bad idea." Bartram muttered. "Crossing this borders without the Alpha's permission is dangerous."Adrian glanced back at him. "That's not the case, Ashford knows us and he has our Luna in his clutches"Adrian saw the terrified look on Bartram's face and paused. "You are not allowed to go in?"Bartram nodded. "I told you I have never been to Venomiya.""But Luna has and she is in there. We just have to find the pack house and that's all.""It's not as easy as you say it." Bartram muttered. "I think we should go back and wait for Luna to come back herself."Bartram turned t

"Wolfbane? Do they want to poison us?" Bartram asked and sniffed the net too. "It's really wolfbane.""We have to get out of here."Bones began snapping in the net, and they both shifted. The net snapped and broke, making them fall and stand in all fours. It was sure there was someone watching them, but they clearly couldn't see anyone.'Rain, calm down. Can you smell our mate?' Adrian asked his wolf.'No. Our mate is not here.'Bartram mindlinked Adrian. 'Let's leave now."'No way, we haven't found Luna.''She is not here!' Bartram snapped. 'I lied, and not we are in trouble.'Rain growled, clearly annoyed by Bartram's words.'What do you mean she is not here?''I will explain later; we can't meet the Alpha; Ashford is a totally different person. Luna is at home, in our house, but she is badly injured. Let's go!''What?' 'Let's go!"Before Adrian could argue more, Bartram turned around and ran. There was no way he was going to stay there any longer. Adrian grunted and followed him; h

Adrian dashed towards the house in his wolf form. Bartram was hot on his tail as soon as he pushed the door open and his head entered. He howled loudly and began sniffing the environment. He could smell their mate, and Rain wanted to push further. To get inside the house and find her, but Adrian wasn't going to let him. After shifting back to his human form, he entered the house stark naked and climbed up the stairs as fast as he could. He had to find her and see if she was okay; it was really dark, and he couldn't guess the time. Was she going to be asleep? He was at the top of the stairs when he spotted Ashford, and Luna walked towards the stairs. He ran closer to them; Ashford was the first to see him. He spun Luna around and covered her eyes with his hand, pulling her close to his chest. Luna yelped in his hand, not expecting it."I told you not to roam around naked!" Ashford bellowed. "I am not naked." Luna muttered."Not you," Ashford replied. "Him."Luna tried to turn her head

The tension between both men was high; they both glared at each other. The aura around them rose. Rain twirled inside Adrian. Ashford questioned. "Release him, and let's see what he can do."Adrian pulled his hand away from Ashford's grip and glared at him even harder."She doesn't belong to you; she is mine and not yours!" Adrian thundered. "You are just some random guy she dated before she met me."Ashford raised his brows. "Same as Alexa. You still believe her, not your mate.""I was done with Alexa a long time ago, and she doesn't stand a chance against my mate.""Really? You want a bet on who can get her heart?" Ashford teased."No!" Nothing." Bartram muttered. "We are not talking about anything. Just talking about Ashford chasing Luna off."Ashford shook his head. "Well, he is lying; I didn't chase her off. She ran away."Adrian approached them; his brows rose, and he stared at them suspiciously. They were whispering before he showed up, and now they were lying about it."Why can I smell it?""Sell what?" Bartram questioned."The fact that you both are trying to lie to me" Adrian answered.Bartram thought of a way to end the conversation. He needed to confuse Adrian, and he was going to do it. He flashed Adrian a smile as he was about to speak. He spotted his favorite coat on Adrian."Why are you in my clothes? And also wearing my favorite coat?" Bartram questioned.Ashford grinned. "Father, he wore your clothes the other time and shifted, tearing them into shreds.""You snitch!" Adrian yelled at Ashford."I was just telling the truth, or should I mention the fact that you made Luna see you naked?" Ashford questio

Tristan glanced at him. "She went along with her father; she said she couldn't let him go alone.""He was not alone; he left with Alpha Dean.""I know."Trevor turned back to the list of names he had written and stared at it."You can call the names now."Tristan nodded and called the name all over again. Trevor canceled the names that were on his list and could also be found on Tristan's list. After listening to the names being called, he collected the list from Tristan and glanced through it."The remaining names are eleven; nine names are the same. Now we will have to stalk our suspect to know if we can find anything about them." Trevor said.Tristan nodded. "That would be great, but leaving the packhouse and going around is risky. We have people here to protect.""There are a lot of guards in the house; he can't come in, and there's no reason he would try to come. He is probably plotting to get Phoebe.""Before we leave, I will have to inform Lily so she doesn't leave the packhouse

Alexa threw the mug at the wall, alerting both her parents. Beta Alex was sitting by the window while her mother was up in her room. Alexa was fuming in anger. How dare her father mention Luna? She had left the pack to think of what to do; she could not let Luna take away her position.Even though she was not mated to Adrian, a Luna of a pack might not be fated to be mates with the Alpha. She had to do something about it. Marrying Adrian was the only way to get her rouge mother into Lunar Crest. Her mother was a rouge, banished from her previous pack, and couldn't be accepted into any other pack because of her past mistakes. Luna sat in front of a desk in Alpha Dean's office. Ashford was sitting beside her, watching her. She had left, carrying Phoebe along with her. Phoebe was lying on a bed not far away from them. Ashford's gaze shifted from Matteo to Neon. Neon looked horrified upon hearing what the boy had told him."I am not ugly and dumb; stop calling me that."The boy stuck his tongue out to Neon. "You are, and now that you have found your brother, I am going back to my home. My mother is going to kill me if she finds me here.""Kill you?" Neon questioned.Matteo gave Neon a confused look. "Not practically going to kill me; you see why I say you're dumb?"Before Neon could answer, Matteo turned around and left, chanting the word."Mother, I met an ugly and dumb adult, an ugly and dumb adult.""I'm not dumb!" Neon scoffed.Matteo ignored him, and soon he was out of sight. Ashford pulled Neon in and slammed the door shut."You came here alone and messed with a little pup.
