"Bless me daddy, for I have sinned." Geoff Vasily was a sick bastard. He was depraved. I knew something was off about him the moment I saw his slicked golden hair and stony gray eyes. I used to live a cheap, albeit independent life supporting myself and my mother, despite my eighteen years of existence. The day he walked into the cafè, I knew the Devil had just walked into our lives. I told her not to take the card, but she didn't listen. Now, he doesn't even look at my mother. He's fixated on me. My stepfather. My doom.

Prologue
About 7 years ago, I did something significant. Something that changed my life. Something that led me to who I am today. Something that paved a way for my future. I remember that day.....as clear as day. It was just another day in my miserable life. I can still remember my 11 year old self running away from my mother's drug dealer on my rusty bicycle.  My legs had ached peddling for so long. I always hid when my mother brought strange men over to the house.  I always hid in a small corner under the kitchen sink when they came over. I never saw their faces. I preferred staring at the concrete wall under the dank sink.  But, that day, I overheard them talking in their bedroom. "I don't want payment with your body. My dick ain't hard for ya." That made my nose wrinkle in disgust. "I'm sure I can make it hard sugar."&nb

Chapter 1
I smiled at the customer as she paid. "Have a great day." I glanced down at my mother, too high to care about where she was and too high to care that her teenage daughter was doing the work she was supposed to be doing.  "Thanks doll." The customer took her coffee from me.  "You're welcome." I watched as she left the cafè.  There were a few patrons seated at the tables. The door bell chimed as the next customer walked inside.  "Good evening. How may I help you?" I smiled at the man.  He didn't return my greeting. "One black coffee." "Will you be drinking it here?" "Yes." He answered blankly. "Coming right up." I smiled at him again. The owner told me to be really nice to the customers because the cafè itself was named 'Nice'. It was

Chapter 2
Three months later: "I can't believe this." I whispered to Brandon who looked dashing in his dark blue jeans and powder blue button up.  I was attending my mother's nuptials. She wore a dark red dress that barely reached her thighs and to be honest, she looked as high as a kite. Sure, she looked stunning in a sultry way, but this was her wedding for God's sake.  Hell, she was the one who made me dress in a white lace gown which was fitted at the waist and flared out at my hips and reached my knees.  "Neither can I babe." He shook his head to emphasize his point.  Beside her, my new step-father, Geoff Vasily wore a starched white shirt tucked inside black trousers. His face was blank as usual. I've read about people like him in my romance books. The surly guys. Usually, they'd show emotions after meeting their soulmate. Now, I'm not saying my Mom and him are so

Chapter 3
We got in his black Audi after he made an excuse that he had to leave to get cleaned up and he was taking me, seeing as I was also covered in shaving cream. No one thought it was weird that he was leaving his wife. I didn't want to drag Brandon into my mess, so I told him I needed to get washed up.  Inside the car, he spoke in rapid Russian through his bluetooth and that was when true fear settled in. What would he do?  He finally rolled into a gravel driveway and stopped at a huge house. He didn't give me time to admire the architecture as he quickly climbed out of the car and dragged me out with him, entering through huge wooden double doors.  "Look, I'm sorry. We can settle this like two sane people." I hated this pleading tone, but I had to put my safety first.  My words fell on deaf ears as he continued dragging me up the stairs. I couldn't even assess my surroundings, seeing

Chapter 4
With my heart in my throat, I ran down the passage and down the stairs, hauling my body out of the door.  I didn't have a car and I left my purse at the reception. Stupid, I know. I really didn't want to go back in there. Surely, there would be someone willing to give me a ride around here.  With that thought in mind, I started down the gravel driveway, but immediately halted. A chill ran down my spine and the hairs on the back of my neck rose.  I slowly turned around and froze. Near the expanse of trees behind the house, there stood a man. A haggard man with baggy clothes and a beard that reached his chest. His eyes were red and his teeth were yellowed.  I saw the glint of a knife he was holding to his side. I didn't think, I just ran back towards the house and slammed the door shut behind me.  My chest was heaving up and down as my eyes connected with g

Chapter 5
"Get out." He stood in front of me, blocking his open car door.  I crossed my arms and stared straight ahead.  "Why are you such a brat? Look here." I wanted to ignore him, but I looked at him anyway.  I knew by now when his eyes turned like that, it wasn't good news for me, but I'll be damned if I let him control me.  He put both his hands on the roof of the car and leaned in.  "You already owe me a confession. You can either stay here or come inside your home. Let me just tell you, if you choose to stay here, you won't have your voice by the time you come inside." I unconsciously touched my throat.  He chuckled and brushed my ear with his nose. "I won't....choke you dorogoy. I'll eat your cunt out till you can scream no more." I shuddered and immediately removed my seatbelt and got out.

Chapter 6
I didn't even think as I started running toward the forest.  I ran for what felt like hours, but it could have only been minutes. The sun was setting and it cast a red hue on the trees.  I didn't know where I was and I knew I was stupid for running into the forest, but I needed a reprieve from that psycho.  Earlier, I had twisted my ankle when I tripped on a branch and that was just my luck. It was becoming darker, I didn't know which direction I came from and I was walking with a limp.  I froze when I heard a twig snap. I've seen raccoons and rabbits and all sorts of critters on my way, but nothing heavy enough to snap a twig. I quickly hid behind a tree and when a hand harshly grabbed my arm, I screamed. I knew it wasn't Geoff, since these hands were meaty and very calloused.  My heart stopped beating when I saw the haggard man. He gave me a crooked smi

Chapter 7
My steps faltered as I stepped into the room, but Geoff was right behind me, pushing me gently into the room and locking the door.  He made his way to sit on his throne and I followed. I didn't need him gripping my throat again.  He sat and I kneeled. "You learn fast." He chuckled.  I straightened my spine and tipped my chin.  "You forgot your robe and crown daddy." I snickered.  "I don't need them. Now do it." "Bless me daddy for I have sinned." "Confess." It took everything in me not to roll my eyes at him.  "I assaulted you and could've killed you if I just had a nice grip." I couldn't mask the smugness in my voice.  "I could kill you right now and no one would even ask." That was the sad and bitter truth and it made me straighten up.

Chapter 8
I walked down the halls of Carrington High. It looked much better than it did last year. Probably from the donations of this rich kid, Jonah Kingston.  I walked towards my locker and saw Jonah on Dahlia...again. That boy needed to get his issues checked. Speaking of issues, Geoff's face popped into my head, but I internally swatted it away.  Dahlia was just too nice for her own good. Whatever he was saying to her made her face become red, so it must be something dirty.  "Don't you have something else to do? Like, I don't know, remove that stick up your ass?"  Dahlia giggled. He stared at her for a beat and turned to narrow his eyes at me.  "Watch your fucking mouth Anderson." He turned back to face Dahlia.  "Take a picture. It'll last longer." I spoke to him and I honestly didn't blame him. Dahlia was easily the most beautiful gi

Chapter 9
That night, after dinner, Dexter Raymond called me.  "Are you ready? You don't have to do this." "I know I don't Ray, but I want to." I slipped on a hoodie and a pair of loose pants, both were black.  I silently opened the front door, but of course, Geoff heard it from his study.  "Ramara." That was all he said. I could risk it by running out the door, but I didn't want to be subject to his wrath later.  I trudged to his study and opened the door.  "Where are you going?" He asked me.  I put my hands in my hoodie pockets. "I'm hanging out with Brandon." "If I didn't know the boy was gay, I would would have tied you up." My face flamed in heat. "Can I go now?" "Kiss me and I'll let you." My mission was really important, so
