Liana:
“Check the girls and then have them cleaned.” One of the women said, clapping her hands, eyeing us as we were sat in what looked like a big shower room. At least, I think it was.
Cecilia, my best friend, was quiet as she looked down at her feet, submitting to them. The idea of them breaking her so easily was not one that I liked. Not for her.
“Cecilia, fight them, don’t give in,” I said, but she didn’t look at me. It pained me, but she didn’t even spare me a glance.
Each one of them eyed us as if we were monsters on the loose. The disgust in their eyes, the anger in their expressions.
“Don’t look at me like that, I don’t want to be here.” I said, looking at one of the women who wrapped her hand around my arm, pulling me to stand in line. “Let me go!”
They wouldn’t.
No matter how hard I tried, neither one of them would let me go. Instead, it was as if they took pleasure in what they were doing. The pain that they were inflicting on us seemed to be pleasing them more than anything. And that alone was enough to disgust me.
I watched as four women stood in front of us, forcing us to open our mouths as they checked our teeth like they would check their cattle. They checked our ears, and our bodies they even forced us to open our towels for them to stare at what they deemed as faults in our bodies. Some girls were spreading their legs as they checked for their virginity, and I was no fool, I would be checked too.
“We are not animals.” I said, looking at the woman who stood in front of me wanting to check my mouth.
“Open your damn mouth and let me check your teeth.” She said, watching as I squeezed my mouth shut. I wasn’t going to give in, I refused to give them what they wanted. They were not going to get the freedom to treat me the way that they desired. Not against my will.
The picture of my mother dying right before my eyes played in my head as I fought back my tears, wanting to be anywhere but here. “You cannot treat us the way that you are! We are free souls, you can’t treat us as if we were ornaments for you to use.”
She grabbed me by my chin, forcing me to open my mouth.
Her eyes were as cold as ice, she didn’t even bother flinching, nor did she care about my words. The woman’s face was completely monotonous. “Do not test me,”
The woman pushed me away from her, nodding at the second woman to take me. I wanted to fight her, they wouldn’t allow me to. But I knew one thing, I didn’t want any of them to touch me. I wanted to be anywhere and to do anything else. But I didn’t want to find myself here.
“Please let me go. I don’t want to be here. I didn’t do anything to be here.” I said, begging the woman who guided me toward who looked like one of the nurses within the pack. She was the woman who was checking our hymens.
“Check her.” The same woman said who was most likely the headmistress, said, looking around us. The other girls seemed to be giving into everything that they did. Most of them didn’t fight, but it was the same way on the bus. Neither one of them fought, and those who did were quickly silenced. “And enough with your yelling. You don’t want me to be more cruel.”
“What more cruelty are you going to be willing to give?” I asked, shaking my head at the woman. “After they killed my family, sold us to your estate, what more cruelty could we see?”
“Do not test me.” She said, glaring daggers at me. I looked down at my feet, avoiding her eyes, knowing no longer to keep testing my luck. I clenched and unclenched my fist, sitting down on the stool. I tried to fight back spreading my legs, but the second they saw that, two girls stood by her side, holding my legs open for her to see.
She nodded, and allowed them to let me go. She didn’t speak, but it was her eyes who told me to leave. I got up from the stool and the next girl sat on my spot. The woman who was checking her washed her hand and repeated the process again.
“When you are done, shower and you will be offered clothes to get dressed before you go to bed. You are going to start your classes tomorrow.” The woman said, looking at us. Her eyes met mine as I stood, and I could tell that she was addressing me with her next sentence. “And I expect you to be more disciplined by then.”
I walked toward the empty spot and bucket to shower, allowing my tears to fall.
“The mattresses would be provided to you by the handmaids. You are going to put them on the floor, each one of you would choose a mattress of her own, and you are going to put your sheets and go to bed. If I find that any of you is causing any trouble over the night, you would be saying goodbye to the warm sheets that you’re sleeping on.” She said, looking at each one of us. “And trust me, you don’t want to find yourselves sleeping with the rats on your very first night within the Estate.”
She walked toward me, and I watched as she handed me a silver bowl beside the bucket of warm water that I was sitting beside. She got down on her knee, not caring that her clothes were getting wet. And when her eyes met mine, I had to fight back a reaction that I knew she would make me regret.
“I will be keeping my eyes on you.” She said, rising to her feet. Her eyes were fixed on me, and the disgust that I saw in them sickened me even more than the whole situation that I was in. “And yes, my words were directed to you when I said I expect you to be more disciplined by then…”
Aguilar:“Did you call for Daniel?” I asked, asking about my son. My beta, Ezio, smiled and nodded.“He should be on the way, Alpha. We have already sent orders for them to be brought here from Moscow.” Ezio said, and I nodded, looking out the window of the office that was now my own.“Good, I have missed him terribly.” I said, and Ezio smiled.“Both he and Luna Ella have missed you too. You know, she has been waiting for your call and would be anxious to see you when she is back.” He said, and I nodded, not saying a word at the mention of my first Luna. The mother of my eldest son.“You know, we are going to have a lot to take care of now,” I said, and he smiled, knowing that I was right. “The fact that we are now standing in the center of the world. Where the world will be bending the knee to their Alpha, it is going to be time for us to set new ground rules.”“I am curious about how the humans would be accepting the new rules and grounds that we set for them. You know, they tend to
Liana:I got up from my bed, if I call it one, it was a mere mattress that we set on the floor where our ‘dorm’ was. The white sheets were smudged with my tears, I knew not to expect otherwise, and I knew that this was a nightmare that wouldn’t end.It was one that I couldn’t just wake up and find myself back in my own peace. One that stripped me away of my freedom to be a slave of the Alpha. An Alpha who I would be more than willing to kill if I were to be given a chance. The idea of belonging to a monster, one who we didn’t even know, was not something that I wanted for myself. And though I knew not to say it out loud, I knew that I was going to have to get out of here. There was no other way that things were going to be going my way as causally.“Each one of you get ready. I want these beds made and these mattresses removed before I am back for your lessons. Starting today, you are going to start your classes. Breakfast would be arriving shortly, and those who think of defying…” she
Aguilar:I kept my eyes on the woman, my mate, for a moment, and I couldn’t help but frown.“Bring the pack doctor to her.” I said, nodding at Ian, one of the servants of the harem.“Yes, Alpha.” He said, holding her upright. He lifted her in his arms and I watched as he took her back inside the room. Elena was quiet as she kept her eyes on the girls despite keeping her head low, and I knew that since they seemed to be new, she was making sure to maintain their order.I nodded at Ezio and the two of us walked out of the harem toward the front door where I knew things were going to be changing. But I had to admit, I couldn’t help but find myself and my wolf, in awe at the sight of the woman. I didn’t know who she was or where she came from, the one thing that I could tell that she was human. A small little setback that I knew wouldn’t be coming in my favor.“Are you okay, Alpha?” Ezio asked, and I raised an amused eyebrow at him.“I doubt that a woman falling in my arms would be shaking
Ella:“Mama, when are we going to arrive?” My son, Daniel, asked, growing somewhat restless and hyper. “Is daddy going to be waiting for us?”“We are going to be arriving soon, baby. Your dad is going to be waiting for us, and he is going to be more than happy to see you home.” I said, and he smiled. I looked out the window for a moment, eager for our arrival. It has been a while since I’ve seen my love. He has been gone from home for a long while now.“Is the house going to be big? Daddy always said that it was big, but I didn’t see it. When we were in Moscow, we didn’t see it.” He said, and I wrapped my arm around him, tightening it as I pulled him to me, cuddling him.“It is so big. The two of us are going to run and we are going to have fun in our new home and new place. There will be guards everywhere, and you are always going to be with me, just as I will be with you.” I said, and he smiled.“Am I going to be playing with daddy too? Is he going to love me the same?” He asked, and
Aguilar:“Clarice.” I said, smiling when I saw my sister walking around the estate gardens.Jade, my first woman, was with her. Both women looked down at their feet, nodding in respect before Claire approached me.“I am surprised to see you out here at this time of day.” I said, and she smiled. “It is noon and you might end up getting a little heat from the sun.”“I figured that it would be the best option for the day. You know, going out, getting some fresh air. Normally, I would prefer staying inside at this time, but with Daniel arriving, I figured that I check that his things are also set up for him. He is my nephew, and it has been a long while since I have seen him.” She said, making me smile. “I figure that you could also use a little pleasure for the night.”“You are implying that you would be taking charge of our mother’s duty?” I teased, and she laughed.“I would never. But sometimes, your sister might be happy to intervene when it comes to her brother’s peace and ease.” She
Liana:“For someone who wanted nothing with the Alpha, I am amazed by the fact that you fainted the second he passed by you.” Elena said, raising an eyebrow at me as I woke up.My heart raced against my ribcage, and I couldn’t help but sneeze as I tried to allow myself to process the odor that they had me smelling. Whatever it was, it was annoying to my nasals.I watched as a nurse put a napkin of perfume, it was what they used to wake me up, inside her box. Her eyes met mine, and though she didn’t say a word, I saw her disgust in her eyes before she turned to look at Elena.I couldn’t bring myself to speak. I knew that passing out wasn’t because I saw him. I would be more than willing to watch him rot in hell. But I knew better than to say that to her. She would end up reporting it, and I didn’t want to find myself getting into more trouble than I could afford. Plus, it’s not like she cared anyway.“She is fine,” the doctor said, looking at me. “And her health is well too, she just ne
Aguilar:I walked inside my room to find the maids and servants cleaning the room, preparing it for the night. My eyes met a concubines for a moment, but she was quick to look down at her feet, avoiding my gaze. I smirked at her sight and watched as everyone left before I wrapped my hand around her wrist, stopping her.“What’s your name?” I asked, watching as her cheeks reddened. Her lips moved for a moment, but nothing came out of her voice, and her racing heart told me that she was both excited and nervous.“Allison.” She said, finally speaking.“Allison,” I said, and she nodded. I guided her toward my bed, and I watched as she slowly pushed me to sit down on the edge of it. I smirked at her dominance, and I watched, in silence, as she stripped herself off her clothes.I eyed her for a moment, admiring her beauty. She was young, it was obvious, not older than twenty, a small scar was on her right hip, but nevertheless, the rest of her body could have been mistaken for porcelain.I w
Liana:“So, what are the rules again?” Ian asked, looking at us as if we were stupid. The idea of dealing with all of this was not one that I wanted to process. The fact that they were teaching us to ensure that we were ready to satisfy the Alpha wasn’t something that I liked. I was furious, but I knew that I wouldn’t be able to change anything. Not this way.“No talking back, no looking into the Alpha’s eyes unless aloud, no yelling, no screaming, and no to being rude.” We repeated, knowing not to stay quiet. We didn’t want him to have us going at it for another hour again.“Exactly, and the last, but most important rule, NO MEN.” He said, and we all looked at one another for a moment as Elena walked toward us. We looked at her as she took Ian’s place, and though we stayed quiet, too scared to ask, we watched as the man walked out of the room for a moment, leaving us alone.“No men?” I asked, and Elena nodded.“They are here as servants of the harem, of the pack, and of the women of
