Chapter 8 - Wilbur

WILBUR’S POV

The sun rested behind the mountains as we were greeted by the moon. I sighed as I tried going out of the castle but the King and Queen held a meeting regarding the Deity coming back. Lady Nyla could be in danger because of me and I can’t live if she dies because of it.

"The Goddess has been gone for a thousand years, there’s no way she’s back!" the Queen shouted at everyone before sighing.

"Perhaps it’s just a rumor like before? The citizens love to make up stories," the King suggested but the Queen only glared at him. In this kingdom, my mother- or the Queen, is mostly in charge. She married into this family from a different kingdom but the King is too soft to make the decisions such as what she makes all the time. She’s vicious and cunning.
