CHAPTER THIRTEEN

ROSE’S POV

I stirred from my sleep when I heard knocks on my door. Someone entered my room before I could open my eyes.

“GOOD MORNING!” a very bubbly voice cheered which forced me to sit straight on my bed. I rubbed my eyes which ached from crying in the night. A girl paced towards the window and opened the curtains. She stepped closer to my bed and then faced me. A bright smile glued to her face. Her eyes shone in the sunlight from the window. She was my height with curls bouncing on her shoulder. I blinked and she did the same.

“Mor..ning...,” I said rather awkwardly, displaying my clenched teeth which made her giggle.

“I’m your assigned maiden. And you have only twenty minutes to get ready for breakfast,” she spoke and at the same time my stomach growled. I embarrassingly placed my hands on my tummy which made her glance downwards. I was still dazed from the last night. Why did I dream of that beast again? Those golden eyes, ready to kill me.
