Chapter forty six

Narrator's POV

Flashbacks

A decade ago

Luther jumped over he fence, falling and hitting his arm. He groaned, but he did not have enough time to grovel, for the cops were chasing him. This was his life. Always running from the cops. This was the dark side of the city. Where the Skin Croc Gang thrived, and drug users were the only rivers that ran through the city.

Lither saw the lights of the cat turn in. Hope filled him. 'Just a few meters more', he hoped. He bumped into a policewoman. She caught him by the collar, the bag he was holding off, revealing bundles of cash.

He tried to struggle with her, bit her grip was more powerful. She smiled at him. "Hey there".

He calmed, his eyes searching for an escape.

Suddenly, a gunshot rang out. The policewoman fell to the floor, a bullet lodged in her head.

"Oh my God", he gasped. More gunshots rang out and all the policemen around were dead the next second.

The gang members came out of their hiding places.
