Nicholas' POV "What is it, Carlos?" I paused, waiting for a reply. "Talk to me!" I snapped, growing impatient. "We were attacked, I have been hit," Carlos said, his voice tense. Laura's POV Why was Nicholas deserving of such profound gratitude? It couldn't just be the act of offering him employment and shelter. Laura's POV He motioned for me to walk before him. I didn't want to obey him, but I didn't want to start an argument, so I just did as I was told.
