Chapter 37

Jennifer returned to the bedroom after being outside in the breeze and feeling refreshed by her surroundings.

Raymond appeared refreshed after his shower, showing no signs of fatigue. Jennifer wondered if he had slept in the car the previous night but had no clue.

“Do you want to sleep? If so, I can ask the maid to prepare breakfast later,” she inquired.

Shaking his head, he declared, “I don’t need sleep.” After uttering those words, he maneuvered his wheelchair to exit the room. Meanwhile, Jennifer headed to the bathroom to freshen up and dress hastily. Like him, she also didn’t require sleep and had slept through the entire night.

As she stood in the shower, she couldn’t help but recall the sensation of waking up in his arms. Absentmindedly rubbing her arms, she shook her head, trying to push the thoughts away.

“Stop dwelling on it,” she scolded herself. “What’s gotten into you, Jennifer? Just relax and go with the flow.”
