Jennifer was awake the whole night. She shifted back in the early morning when she felt Raymond’s body temperature turn normal.

A wave of relief washed over her, prompting her to shower quickly. Eagerly, she awaited Robin’s arrival to assess Raymond’s condition. An hour later, Robin finally arrived at the house.

“Where is he?” Robin asked the moment Jennifer opened the door.

“In the bedroom,” she responded abruptly.
