The following morning, when she woke up, Alice found herself alone in bed.

Over the past three years, she had always woken up alone, but today, she felt especially lonely. She got up with a heavy heart and went to work.

As soon as she entered the office, she sensed that something was off. Everyone was gossiping about Lucas.

"What happened?" Alice asked one of her colleagues.

"You don't know what happened?" she said in shock, and Alice shook her head.

"Check your group chat," the colleague suggested. Alice went to her office and opened her social media group chat. Her whole world crumbled when she saw the pictures and news. There was news about Lucas and Milla being spotted at the airport together. He wasn't going on a business trip; he was on vacation.

Upon returning home, Alice went straight to her bedroom and began packing all her things. Luckily, she did not have much to pack. After she finished, she left the house.
