Lindsey

Betty screeched and ran over to Adrian's side. She couldn't hide how she felt about him, and everyone at the party gossiped loudly about her.

"Lindsey," my father came to my side. He glanced at Kai, I saw him, but he didn't even acknowledge the man. "I'm not sure what happened between those two brothers, but I can not allow them to be in the same place again. Not until I know they're not going to devolve into that riff raff. They ruined your mother's special day."

"Lindsey still has a present for her," interrupted Kai. I turned to him and he had gotten hold of the box I'd planned to give her. When had he had the time to snatch that? "Here," he handed it over.

My mother was the one to take the box and she gave him a warm smile. "Thank you, Kai."
