CHAPTER 28

RUBY’S POV

It was still so early in the morning and my phone was ringing out loud nonstop. I reached for it with sleepy eyes and without looking at the caller ID, I picked the call up and placed it against my ear.

“Hello?” I spoke with a croaky voice and I heard a snicker from the other side.

“Why are there so many pictures of you and Dax splashed across so many media outlets and I haven't heard anything from you yet, Ruby? Were you both on a date?” Dennis’s voice came through and what he just said woke me up immediately and I quickly sat up in bed.

“What? Wait a minute. What pictures are you talking about?” I asked him while trying to make sense of what he just said and he chuckled.

“Do you mean you have no idea that there are pictures of you and Dax all over the internet? Aren’t you both back together already? Don’t mess this deal up for me, Ruby” he fired more questions that made me even more confused and I got down from my bed.
