SCARED TO LOSE

She walked inside the campus. She was a bit late today so she had to rush inside. As soon as she reached near her class , she noticed a familiar figure and she recognized him. It was none other than Mateo. Closing her eyes in frustration , she was gonna walk past him but stopped when he called her name.

“ Evelyn , can we talk ? “

Evelyn hesitated but stopped to listen.

“ fine. Let’s talk “

Mateo took a deep breath , looking at Evelyn with a sincere look. “ i have been doing a lot of thinking and i realize how much i messed up. I know we can’t go back to what we were but i hope we can at least be friends. Were family,after all”

Evelyn could see the genuine regret in his eyes. A wave of relief washed over her as she reflected upon his and Dominic’s relationship. They used to be so close and she wanted Dominic to mend his relationship with him.

“ i think we both can start over as friends “
