Chapter 51

I slowly opened my eyes, my breaths coming in shallow gasps as I tried to understand where we were. The room was dim, shadows dancing on the walls, making it hard to pinpoint our exact location. I tried to move, but my body felt too weak. The sharp sting of ropes wrapped tightly around my wrists reminded me of my helpless state as I sat on a hard, wooden chair.

Suddenly, I heard a soft, familiar groan.

"Ravi?" I called out, my voice barely a whisper.

"Y...yeah," he responded weakly from somewhere nearby.

"Are you okay?" I asked, my voice trembling with fear.

"I...I'm fine," he replied, though his voice didn't sound convincing.

Just then, the door creaked open, and I heard footsteps approaching. My heart pounded in my chest as the figure drew nearer. When the light finally revealed his face, my anger flared up.

"You," I spat through gritted teeth, glaring at Joe standing in front of me with a smug smirk plastered across his face.
