Liya’s POV

I could feel the sting of his fangs, they were about to enter my skin, but then, a jolt of energy surged through my body. The bright light that represented the moon wolf power surged through me.

This time, it was hot and fast, you could say like lightening, but slightly slower.

My guess is that it felt that way because it was repelling or neutralizing whatever little poison that had entered by body through that little pinch of Jafar’s fangs.

He recoiled with a hiss, his hand flying away from my throat as if burned.

Confusion battled with the pain throbbing in my chest. I clawed my way to my hands and knees, gasping for breath. My lungs burned, and a metallic tang filled my mouth.

"What… what was that?" Jafar snarled, his voice laced with a newfound tremor. "Why are you not turning?"

Slowly, painfully, I pushed myself to my feet. My body ached like I'd been hit by a truck, but I was still standing. Still breathing. Still me.
