Unexpected news

Catherine’s POV

“Are you sure?” Alessandro's voice boomed from the other end of the line with uncertainty.

“Yes,” I whispered, pressing the phone against my ear as I stared into the void in front of me. “Sooner or later, they will eventually find out.”

“Okay, let's do this then,” He replied. “Would you like me to be present with you?”

“Yes,”

“Alright, baby. Let me know when you're ready and I'll come over immediately.”

“Sure,”

“I love you so much, Cathy. You know that, right?” He asked, and I nodded, even though he couldn't see me.

“Yes, I do and I love you more,” I responded, my cheeks burning with a blush.

I had initially thought the shyness that came with declaring my love for Alessandro would disappear, the more I said it, but the more I said, the coyer I got.
