Lucid

Ember’s POV

It was already glooming darkness when I looked outside and saw Trent making his way to my quarters, probably to tell me one thing or another.

I felt him walk in as I sat before my dressing table combing out my thick hair and turned at the sound of him entering.

“Lovely evening is it not?” I said in my usual soft voice and he smiled nodding his head.

“Lovely evening it is…” he held back the next thing he wanted to say for a moment, I felt his lingering gaze on my body probably taking in the utter ethereal beauty of which I was.

I smirked to myself, my own thoughts made me giggle.

“If there's something you want to say you ought to say it now.” I finished brushing my hair and turned to face him.

He was as charming as ever.

“Well, I'm leaving the pack Ember. I'm going on an important journey and I need you to manage the pack while I'm gone. Can you do that for me?’ he asked in all earnesty looking at me.

I gave a slight frown as my expressions changed whilst looking at him.
