Chapter Forty Eight

ELYSIA'S POV

Every step I took away from the borders of the pack came with more uncertainty although weak because I had gotten all conviction from Finnegan that the Alpha wouldn't care what happened to me, most importantly my life would be in danger if I remained there and had his child, so I knew I was doing the right thing by going away from him.

The forest was dry and empty, and apart from the light sounds from animals around the forest, and rustling of dry leaves when I stepped on them, the forest would have been completely calm and quiet.

Because of my pregnancy, it was easy for me to get tired, thereby making the journey even harder for me but I was determined to keep going even though I felt like I was going to break down anytime soon.

I felt dry and completely tired in the inside, my limbs were getting weaker and my heart beat faster with every step I take. And just when I thought I was going to die of dehydration, I came across a stream in the middle of the woods.
