“What’s the point of getting your hopes high that Greyson will still go back to you? You should get over it and move on, Airi. The past is past. There are still plenty of men out there who’s way better than him either way,” I murmured, despite knowing that whatever I’d say would actually have no effect on her or whatever it was that she’s scheming.

“You’re one to talk, Angelique. Don’t forget that we’re basically in the same situation—stop pretending as if Greyson has serious romantic affection for you,” Airi grunted while she was staring at her fingernails with her eyes full of amusement, as if to tell me that she really doesn’t care about a word that I’ll say. “I appreciate your help, though.” A smirk was shown on her lips as she walked closer to where Greyson was.
