KAI’S POV

The harsh grip of sadness have wrapped its fingers around my heart like a suffocating vine, pulling me deeper into the depths of this madness that has held me captive for days now. I’ve become a prisoner within the confines of my room, a self-imposed exile from the world outside.

The taste of food had become foreign to me, and the sight of another human being that wasn't Alana or my children was a luxury I denied myself. My only companions were two empty bottles of potent whiskey, their contents now swirling in my stomach, numbing the seething pain coursing through my chest.

Alana left. She did. The stark reality of her departure has morphed into a relentless nightmare in my existence, one from which I can’t seem to awaken.

Eww Kai ur an embarrassment, an abomination, acting like a mindless zombie trying to win Alana back. the years u spent w Alana can be counted in one hand compared to more than 16 yrs separated and now u act like u will die w o her…how dumb…I hate this kind of shit lol

The chapters are taking so long to come out. ... I do think he should go to them. They've been waiting years for him to come. He just gave up. This is his chance to prove that he willing to fight for them, which is what Alana wanted all along. But seriously, this book is taking so long to be done.

Kind of a short chapter, isn't it? Also, he better not go and save them. They ALL left him alone, and deserve whatever happens to them.
