MW IS HERE
Caroline is lying on her bed with her phone. She remembered that she once had a fan account for Daniel Evans. When she opened it again on I*******m, there were more than 1000 followers. Who will follow an account without an update? Well, they did. She scrolled through her posts. Most of it is Daniel’s hot and sexy pics. Some photoshoots, billboards pictures, movie posters and also kissing scenes with the actress. She doesn’t like those pictures right now. She deleted some of it and posted her first picture with him. Surely, there will be more comments on it.
She likes him a lot, but she can’t accept it. She doesn’t know whether she likes him or is just a fangirl like others. Caroline kept her phone done and slept the moment she closed her eyes.
While Caleb entered the house, everyone’s door is locked.
“Seriously, my sisters slept without cooking me dinner.” Caleb wondered, walking towards the kitchen hoping to find something to eat. There’s a single bowl of noodles on the table.
“Is this for me? Not likeable,” he took it.
Buzz. Buzz.
Many notifications showed on his phone. But only one made him angry and afraid. It’s the MW person from Ruby’s phone.
Ruby: I think you reached your home. How’s your time with your dead girlfriend’s mother? It’s so sad. She looked like a corpse.
“How the hell does he know everything?” Caleb glanced at all corners of the kitchen and hall and there’s nothing suspicious.
Caleb: What do you want now?
Ruby: Nothing complicated. Just don’t go to Ruby’s funeral. Simple right?
Caleb: Why should I do it? You tricked me once. Now I won’t fall for your game.
Ruby: Your loss. Whatever Iam telling there’s a reason behind it. You will know later.
Caleb: I don’t care
Ruby: You still have two days. So, think and tell. Make the right decision.
“Shit,” Caleb growled, switching off the phone.
After 2 days...
Caleb’s decision is final. Four of them reached Ruby’s house, where the funeral is going to happen even without a body. The hall is enormous enough for all family members and school students. Many students came to her funeral. Students who didn’t even talk with Ruby came today. They can only understand about a person when they are gone. That’s the universal truth.
“Hey,” Taylor touched Chloe’s shoulder, who jerked away in panic.
“It’s you,” she let out a deep breath. Ian is with Taylor.
“I thought I won’t make it here,” Taylor said, looking exhausted.
“Is there any specific reason for it? School kinds of stuff?”
“I am still working in the music studio. I can’t do it alone without Ruby” Taylor never looked tired like this. She seems to overthink something.
“You can manage it alone. Am I right, Ian?” she looked at him, who doesn’t seem to encourage Taylor.
“I don’t think so. She’s losing fans and views after Ruby’s death”
“I think everyone likes Ruby. Maybe I should let go of my passion for music”
“Are you serious about that? Please don’t do anything like this. I know music means everything to you,” Chloe tried to cheer her up, but she’s failed. Taylor is still not convinced.
“Okay. We are here are Ruby’s funeral. Let’s not talk with this.” Taylor gave a fake smile and seated with them in the front row. When the hall becomes silent, it’s filled with sadness of losing Ruby’s presence.
Caleb never noticed Ruby’s house this much like now. The hall is enormous enough with modern crystal chandelier lighting. It looks like an empty hall with a coffin in the middle of the hall. There is more than one hall, so this one is empty right now for the funeral. Caleb doesn’t know why they kept it here instead of the Roshord graveyard. Ruby’s father is nearly finished with his speech while Caleb is distracted by Ruby’s thoughts.
“This is all I wanted to say, but I am sure I will find who set the house on fire. I know it’s on purpose. I won’t rest until...” Ruby’s mother interrupted him by whispering in his ears, which is nearly audible.
“You are running off track. It’s not a time for investigation,”
“I know. This is more important. Everyone is here for her. They should know it’s happened on purpose. You should go sit in your place,” The forties man, father of Ruby with a bald head, ordered his wife. He looked so angry, the opposite of his wife, whose face is pale.
“Then it’s time for Caleb to talk,” his wife snatched away the mike and looked a little bit afraid of her husband. When she motioned Caleb to come, he stepped towards them like he’s waiting for this a long time.
After a moment of Pin drop silence, he started “We are all gathered for Ruby. You all know she’s a wonderful person who sacrificed herself to save others. In fact, some are sitting here due to her. We are should be grateful for her. I wish I could have saved her. But now it’s all over. I only want her to rest in peace in the afterlife. As Mr Espinoza said, I won’t stop searching until I find the truth behind that accident. I totally agree with him.” He stopped for a second.
In the seat, Bianca is looking at him like she might have been in Ruby’s place to have a boyfriend like him. He didn’t even lay eyes on anyone other than Ruby. Somehow, the dead girl is so lucky, according to Bianca. How hard she tried; Caleb didn’t even talk with her after homecoming.
“Ruby’s been a good friend, a caring person to everyone. She doesn’t hate no one no matter how anyone treats her,” Caleb said, this anger in his voice. He’s angry at some of them who came to Ruby’s funeral, even though they hated her before. ‘If they can’t give respect to her before, so why now?’ Caleb thought to himself. Even Tiffany and Wes. He wants to kick them out, but he can’t behave like a psycho. If Ruby’s parents came to know about Tiffany’s being a threat to their daughter, they won’t even let her inside.
“I am not going to speak for the whole day. Finally, I want to tell...” he trailed off, hearing a cracking noise above his head. The noise troubled his ears. Suddenly everyone got shocked. All eyes are on the ceiling. Caroline Charlotte was about to run towards Caleb. When he slowly looked up, the large chandelier was about to fall. It all happened so fast before Caleb could react to it.
ARGUMENTS The next moment, Caleb fell on the floor. The glass pierced all over his skin. No one is injured more than Caleb. The empty coffin fell down widely opened up. Caroline reached him and tried to wake him up. He’s closed, but he’s not unconscious. He tried to clear the blur vision. He can’t even see his sister's face clearly. “Oh my god, Caleb. We need to go to the hospital,” Caroline’s voice rang in his ears. There are more screams and noise made by the people. Finally, Caleb concentrated his vision and his eyes wandered over the coffin. When he focused his vision on it, still lying on the floor. He can see some words written on it. Told you not to come. Your loss - MW He gasped, grabbing Care’s hand. “Close the coffin, please,” he pleaded. Charlotte is standing near Care ran to close it. He deeply exhaled after knowing the coffin is closed. No one should see it. The message is for him. “Everybody go to your ho
BACK TO ROSHORD “First of all, Ruby’s death is not an accident. After much research, we came to know there’s a bomb fixed on the work in progress house on purpose. First, everyone thought there’s a leakage in the gas which is obviously not possible. It’s just an excuse that made my Roshord school to stop their school from sealing it. This made it clear, Roshord high is a careless school. We still don’t know who did this on purpose to hurt the students from Roshord high school.” the report stopped and the image shifted to the burning house on the day when the lacrosse match happened. Caleb looked down from seeing it again. Care kept her hand on his shoulder to make him relax. Her touch gave him a relaxation that their sisters were here for him. “Now about Becca’s disappearance.” the reporter started. The tension in the hall increased hearing Becca’s name. “It’s confirmed that she’s been murdered. There’s enough evidence of her blood in the sch
BILL’S WEIRD BEHAVIOR “That’s what I wanted to hear. Now we can go to school,” Jason wrapped his arms around her shoulder, hugging. They both made their way back to school. Charlotte seemed so happy to see Jason today. While at the school, Caroline walked into the kitchen crossing all the students and people who were already eating their breakfast in Roshord cafe. Today there’s more crowd in the cafe. Even detectives, reporters are eating here. Suddenly, Caroline spotted Becca’s mother angrily pointing hands at someone and acting harshly just like her daughter. Care took her wandering eyes and walked straight. “Hey Care, baby,” Care heard some familiar voice while bumping into someone. But who will call her like that? She’s never been called that. She took some steps back to notice the person. “Bill.” “Yep. It’s me.” He looked brighter than the last time. Last time she lied to him about being involved in a car accident after hav
IT’S NOT A MATCH A formal woman dressed in a coat suit motioned Chloe to step inside. She wearing specs and looked like not slept for many days. She’s with a notebook and pen. Chloe worried more about seeing Becca’s mother, who is watching her like she’s some kind of serial killer. There’s another man standing holding an object that looks like an iPad. But it’s quite different from it. Its length is enormous and a wide-breadth. “Keep your hands on it.” the woman ordered. Chloe slowly kept her hoping nothing bad happens even though she’s not the one who killed Becca. “Now take a seat.” Chloe felt more uncomfortable near Becca’s mother. Her look is so fierce. There are more wrinkles on her face and looked sleepless, just like the investigated woman. Chloe felt guilty about seeing her. But Becca’s mother won’t even know Chloe. Maybe she’s just looking furiously at everyone. “So, where have you been from seven to nine on homecoming day, Chloe?” t
WILL THEY ESCAPE? “Take a seat and explain it clearly. Did they get your fingerprint?” Caleb asked her while she took and folded her apron. “They already took my handprint. It’s not a match, but they asked too many questions and she is so rude.” Care slammed her hand on the table. “Where did they investigate?” “On the first floor. They are going to check on teachers. It’s getting worse.” “Oh, my gosh. Charlotte will be in trouble. How did you manage to tell?” Chloe panicked. “They asked me to tell me every incident, so I told the truth.” Care casually replied after taking a deep breath. “You told the truth? Are you insane?” Caleb silently yelled at her, trying not to grab any other attentions. “You want to know the truth. The truth is, Bill proposed to me.” “What am I asking you and what you are telling? Wait, a second. Bill did what?” Caleb got perplexed by her sister weird reply. “I got no tim
WHO KILLED HER? Charlotte stood up, almost knocking off the chair she was sitting on. Both of them in the room stared at her like dealing with some devil. She frightened both of them just with her fierce look. All these situations wake her to another tough face inside her. “I think you could sit down. I won’t be telling your personal issues to anyone. It’s none of my business.” The lady clearly told, looking a little frightened. “Iam not going to sit down. Thanks for understanding” Charlotte folded her hands across her chest. She’s ready to escape the room once the fingerprints got matched. “Um... the fingerprints are...” the man trailed off, looking at the computer. Charlotte holds her breath, waiting for him to finish. “It's not a match. You can go. Sorry for troubling you,” he finished, giving Charlotte shock and confusion. She doesn’t know whether to feel glad or further overthink about this. She simply nodded her head and walked
JEALOUS GIRL Finally, Caroline reached the shooting spot in Daniel’s Ferrari. She stepped outside and the Guards were standing beside her. She can’t spot Daniel anywhere. The place has a beach set up with all the technicians, cameras, etc... At the time, it looks like the shooting is over. Everyone is leaving. Care even expected to see any other favourite actress. Cause there are many known celebrities who are engaged in some conversation. The shooting is done outside the building. She really wants to explore the shooting area and the building. Care hopes one day Daniel will take her inside to show how the movie’s being taken. “Where is Daniel?” Care asked the guard. “He will come.” He replied with a stern look. Care waited for over fifteen minutes, not seeing Daniel. Finally, she saw him coming out of the building. She thought of waving at him, but she noticed he’s talking with some other woman. It’s not just a woman, she’s a popular actress w
I LOVE YOU Care blinked her eyes for a few minutes. She can’t believe she wrongly entered his bedroom. She was supposed to go to his office room. Now she can’t turn her feet away from this room. There’s a luxury black bed, some photos of Daniel hanging on the wall. She approached his childhood photo. ‘Daniel is so adorable,’ Care muttered seeing it. Daniel has a six-year-old kid standing on the Playground giving poses to the photo. That’s the only childhood pic. Another portrait caught her eyes. It’s his drawing at his current age. It’s so perfectly painted. Seeing paintings gives her a reminder of Chloe. She is talented too. Other than photos, there’s a laptop and some documents neatly arranged on his desk in a corner. If he already has an office, why keep it in this room. The room is painted in White and every object looked like it’s worth a million dollars. “What are you doing here, Caroline?” Daniel’s voice alerted Care. She turned towards the do
