Chapter 26

It was 2am in the morning and Maria found herself wide awake. She hasn't been able to sleep and she is anxious and restless about it.

She sat on the bed, legs crossed staring at the door, she has been doing that for a while now. Part of her hopes that Selena is okay which she doubts when her brother is lying in the hospital, awaiting surgery.

"Why am I feeling so unsettled."

Her mind wandered off to what could be the problem.

Sighing deeply, she stood up from the bed and left the room. She was thirsty and wanted to drink some water.

As soon as she stepped out of the room, she breathed in and out then proceeded to get water to quench her thirst.

She took the last of the stairs and headed in the direction of the dining room. Sight of the dining reminded her that she missed dinner last night. Caleb had annoyed the hell out of her that she lost appetite and thereby going to bed hungry.
