Chapter 21: questions

Logan’s pov

“do you know why they are looking for her?” I asked Justice who shrugged.

“I don’t know, and I don’t care. Honestly, I just want to find her first because that leech is looking for her” he answered.

From what I heard from the Vampire King he is looking for someone.

But that cant be my Charlotte because he did say he has been looking for her for years.

He seemed to be in love with whoever he was looking for.

She cant be the same person he is looking for honestly.

“do you know her?” my father asked but I shook my head. I cant tell them what I know.

With Justice now having his eyes on her I cant take that risk at all.

“I don’t, but I can make a copy of the picture in case I see her” I said to my older brother.

He frowned, like he didn’t like the idea of me being the first one to find her.

“no, she is mine. I will look for that bitch and I will find her. You wont take credit for this” he said.

“let him get the copy, he is helping you. And there is no way he can take credit, only you can come up with this idea” father said, and Justice smiled at this.

I looked at my father and he winked a little.

I guess he could tell that there is more to this and trusts me enough not to question me.

“I won’t stay here father; I need to get back and look for my mate” I said and he nodded.

“there are plenty of she wolves here, you just need one who is powerful and hot enough to make a wife” my brother commented.

I got a copy of my mate’s picture and in a way I felt relieved.

I don’t know why she is on the run. I really don’t have answers to these questions at all.

 I don’t even know what questions to ask but I will find the answers.

 I will find what questions to ask and soon I will hopefully find my mate.

“your father said I am coming with you to the city” Dean said all ready with a bag.

It makes sense that my father would choose him.

Not only is he my best friend but he is also a great warrior.

He is also really good at keeping secrets or should I just say that he is loyal? 

“your mate, she really is making you run after her isn’t she?” he asked as he made himself comfortable in my room.

“she really had but I know it will all be worth it in the end” I said, and he just shrugged.

We got going and got to the city a few hours later but I couldn’t wait at all.

I wanted to ask the Vampire King if he knew my mate and if he is looking for her.

If he is then I want to know why and if the witches are hunting her down I would also like to know why as well.

So the moment I got there I went to his hotel room since I knew where he was staying.

I think I got the idea that he would be staying here for longer.

Obviously this city had something that he was looking for and couldn’t just leave behind.

Same goes for me as well, this city is begging me not to go anywhere and to stay here.

Its because my mate is here.

the woman I will spend the rest of my life with is somewhere here.

The Vampire King’s henchman didn’t give me much troubles.

Since the Vampire King owns this hotel the top floor was his.

This man really is rich, that is why he is feared by most because he has the money and influence.

I knocked on his door and he told me to come in.

I found him sitting of his chair looking at some files when my eyes landed on a portrait on the wall.

Looking back at me was Charlotte on that portrait.

It seemed old, like it was painted years ago and she seemed a little older there.

I think she looks the way she would look now after 8 years have passed.

8 years huh, 8 years looking for my mate and having no luck at all.

“good evening” I said and he looked up and looked at me carefully.

“we just saw each other a few hours ago young Prince. What brings you here so soon?” he asked.

I looked at the portrait and he followed my eyes and I saw that same sadness.

“I take it with me everywhere I go, she is the woman I have been looking for” he explained and I put the photo I had on the table.

When he saw it he looked at me confused.

“why do you have Charlotte’s photo?” he asked me.

The fact that he said her name means that it is true that he is also looking for her.

Sebastian’s pov

“because she is the girl I am looking for. Charlotte is my mate” he answered, and I couldn’t understand.

“Charlotte Bishop is your mate? That’s not possible” I said, and he looked at the portrait for the third time.

“it is, I met her 8 years ago and I have been looking for her since then. And now I just found out that you have been looking for her as well” he said, and I nodded.

This is not possible; My Scarlet can’t be mated to anyone.

I have nothing against the Alpha Prince, but he can’t be mated to My Scarlet.

She is the person I have been looking for all this time so its not possible.

In all her lives she has never had a mate, so this can’t be possible.

He is probably mistaken, there is no way that the love of my life is meant to be with someone else.

Before I could answer there was a knock on the door again.

Mark only lets in the people he knows that I wouldn’t mind seeing.

“come on in” I said and came in a girl wearing a hoodie.

She took it off and standing there with her blond hair and green eyes.

“You” she said looking at me and frozen standing there.

I guess she is the one who found me after all.

“Charlotte” both me and the Alpha Prince said at the same time.

She then looked at both of us.

“you know my name. it doesn’t matter how or why. I am looking for the Vampire King, where is he?” she asked.

“I am the Vampire King; my name is Sebastian Thorne. I guess this century really is different isn’t it?” I asked her looking at the Alpha Prince who was standing there looking at her in awe.
