Chapter 48

Ares’ pov

I stormed out of the room, banging the door behind me and marched downstairs.

I couldn't exactly tell why I was angry but I was.

I got to the living room and everything had already been cleared and one wouldn't even think a chandelier had fallen minutes ago.

A few men were in the middle of the room, fixing a new chandelier.

“What we wrong?” I asked, ignoring their greetings and going straight to the point.

The man who was probably the leader walked towards me and bowed.

“The chandelier was already weak, Alpha. It's just too bad nobody noticed it on time,” he said.

“How is that even possible?” I frowned.

He immediately bowed his head and remained that way.

They were painting it as an accident but I knew better.

Something like that couldn't have just been an accident.

I glared at him for a few seconds before walking away.

I knew just the right person to ask.

I marched upstairs and pushed her door open.
