Chapter Fifty

"Thank you," he whispered, "but there is something I need to talk to you about," he said with a serious face. Looking at him, I asked, "Josh, what is it?"

"I was told you dropped your resignation letter," he said. I nodded my head without saying a word. "Be well informed that your position is still left vacant if you are still interested," he continued. He raised his hand and added, "But we can't afford to lose you in our organization."

That brought smiles to my face. I told him, "I'm glad I'm a valuable asset to our organization, and I'll think about whether I should resign or not." He instantly rushed to me, saying, "Harper, please, more than anyone else, I need you."

"That's sweet coming from you. It means a lot to me," I replied. "And mind you, I'm not quitting; I was only pulling your legs."

"Thanks, Harp, together we can give Nolan a run for his money," he said. "Yes, Josh," I said exhilaratingly. He held my hands, looking deep into my eyes. I could see different emotions running
