Chapter 021

Christina’s POV

I stared hard at the door, with his words ringing in my head, long after he was gone. It was hard to believe that Scott had said those words to me. What was happening? Why was he suddenly so nice? Firstly, he nursed me back to good health and transformed my bedroom into a mini library with my favorite books and now he wants to act out the fantasy I’d shared with his aunt. It was all too much for me and the more I thought about this new side of him, the more confused I became.

All I was used to was the brooding businessman who saw me as nothing more than a business transaction he had to deal with for a year. What has changed him? Or was this to lure me enough to want to have his child? These thoughts scared me because I hadn’t done any research to prevent pregnancy. If he keeps going this way and finally gets me where he wants me, I’d be doomed with no preparations to escape his claws.

I shook my head and rose to my feet, determined to not let his few acts of kindness
