Mia's pov

Josy put everything away and smiled at me, holding out her hand. I was hesitant to take it, I didn't think I was ready to meet everyone, maybe just wait another day?

"There's no need to be nervous darling. Everyone's going to love you" she said with a warm smile. "How are you so sure?" I asked, trying to delay going out to meet everyone.

"Because we've been waiting for you for way too long, we've been without a true priestess for a very long time so you finally coming back to us is like Christ returning to the humans" she said, her gaze quite cheerful. I wondered how she could be so calm about this whole thing when I'm here dying on the inside.

"What if I don't measure up? What if I'm not good enough? You say my mother was the best priestess the coven has ever had, what if I can't be her?" I asked, this time not stalling but expressing genuine concerns.
