chapter thirty one

Trevor's pov

Drew hasn't said a word to me in hours. We searched the forest all night long but couldn't get a trace of her scent past a few metres outside the border. It's like she just vanished into thin air, disappeared out of our lives like she never existed.

I searched her room for any clues since we came back but there's nothing. The only proof of her existence is her clothes that are covered in her scent. That's the only thing I have of her besides memories.

I don't know what to do or how to feel. My body aches in ways I never thought possible and my heart feels like it's not even mine.

"Hey" I heard a soft whisper from the door and I couldn't even raise my head. "I came to check on you" Mom said sitting beside me on the bed.

She took my hand into both of hers and I instantly started feeling her warmth travel through me, I don't know if she knew that I was in pain but I deeply appreciated the relief.
