Chapter 8

The wind flowed through Alric’s fur as he carefully balanced on Aria’s back as she flew. A wolf on a dragon. If anyone saw them, they would be stunned. Alric could feel the vibration of Aria’s grumbling through his paws. He knew she was upset over his mother but didn’t know how to help her.

Aria had flown towards the mountains and as the jagged landscape came into view Alric directed her towards the summit of one of the numerous mountain peaks.

“There’s a field and lake with a waterfall just below the summit, it belongs to us so no one will disturb us.”

They landed in a beautiful field of flowers surrounded by mountain peaks around the field were beautiful trees and at one end of the field there was a small stream that grew into a small lake. They could hear the beautiful sound of falling water and both Alrick and Aria shifted back into their human forms.
