Aliza's Point of View
I heard the elevator ding, and my heart started beating fast. I looked over and saw my father, brother, and the woman who had destroyed everything, my stepmother Catherine, walking into the family room. My mom stood up, and I did the same as they walked closer to us.
"Dad, I missed you. I love you so much," I said as I hugged him tightly. My dad had treated me well for the little bit of time I had known him. He was a great father to both Josh and me and I wished I would have met him sooner. I know I shocked him because of how tense he was, but then he relaxed into the hug and wrapped his arms around me hugging me back.
"You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that, Aliza. I wish I had known about you. I promise I would have been in your life," My dad said, and I pulled away from the hug. I looked at my mom to see she had tears in her eyes.
"Hello, Tina," My dad said
"Hello, Michael," my mom replied. They kept staring at each other. They would do that a lot, just stare into each other's eyes like they were in a trance or something. Catherine cleared her voice loudly, causing everyone to look at her. My dad walked over to where she was standing and wrapped his arms around her.
"This is my mate Catherine and our son Josh," My dad said
"Hello, it is nice to meet you, Aliza," Josh said as he held his hand out for me to shake. Josh and I were not that close. We would greet and talk for a moment, but we never hung out. He was only six months younger than I was. I honestly didn't know if I could trust him, not after what Catherine had done. When everything went down, Josh was supposed to be on vacation with his best friend, Zach. I hadn't seen him the day my stepmother and her followers attached the pack and killed almost everyone, so I wasn't sure if he had anything to do with it. He seemed to love our father, but he also loved his mother.
"It is nice to meet you, too," I replied as I shook his hand.
Catherine suddenly wrapped her arms around me and hugged me tightly just like she did in the past when we first met. "I am so happy you are here, Aliza. I have always wanted a daughter," Catherine said and then she pulled away from me. "I understand this must be very hard on you. I could only imagine how you feel just finding out who your father is. I want you to know that I am here for you," Catherine said smiling at me. When I met her in the past I had fallen for her lies. I believed that she did care about me and I would talk to her about everything. I felt bad just thinking about how bad I was to my mother and how nice I was to Catherine. I let Catherine trick me into believing she was a caring person but now I know she is nothing but a conceaving, mulnipulating, Bitch.
"How about we all have a seat and talk," My dad said and my mom and I sat next to each other on one of the couches, my dad and Catherine sat across from us on a loveseat, and Josh sat in the corner in one of the reclining chairs.
"Your mom told me that you shifted on your eighteenth birthday," My dad said
"Yes, I did," I replied, thinking about how painful and scary it was when I shifted into a werewolf for the first time.
"Have you shifted since then?" My dad asked
"No, I haven't," I replied
"Well, you should practice shifting more. Also, you should start training with us to become stronger. You don't have to do it right now but it would do you some good," My dad said
"She will think about it," my mom said
"I want to train," I replied and my mom looked at me
"Are you sure?" My mom asked
"Yes," I replied. In the past I didn't start training until about a month before Catherine attacked the pack. It was right after my mom was killed. At that time I thought rogues were to blame for her death and I wanted to get my revenge on them. Now I know the truth and I need to get stronger to get my revenge on the true person that killed her.
"Okay, if you are sure," My mom said
"Great. We can talk more about this at dinner. We have a house ready for the two of you closeby. I will take you there so you can rest before dinner. I know it was along trip to get here," My dad said
"That would be great," My mom said and we both stood up.
"There was something I wanted to ask. Aliza, I was wondering if you would like to stay in the packhouse. I would give you a chance to meet some people," Catherine said.
"No, She will be staying with me," My mom replied angrily. In the past I accepting her offer of moving into the packhouse because I was upset with my mom but this time was different.
"I am not trying to overstep, Tina. I just think it would be a good idea to be around the pack," Catherine said
"She will have time to be around the pack but she is staying with me. I am her mother," My mom said
"Yeah but my mate is her father," Catherine replied. My mom was about to tell her off but I spoke. It wasn't the time for them to get into it.
"I will stay with my mom," I said
"Okay," Catherine said with that fake smile that was always on her face.
Aliza's Point of View"I am sorry for Catherine's behavior. She is only trying to be helpful," my dad said as he drove us to the house. My mom was in the passenger seat while I was in the backseat."Sure she is," My mom said"She really means well, Tina," My dad said as he touched her hand, causing her to look at him for a moment before removing her hand from his. "Just make sure she understands that I am Aliza's mom," My mom said Once we made it to the two-story brick house that had a fence, three bedrooms, living room, dining room, big kitchen, huge fenced-in backyard with deck, and four bathrooms, my dad opened the door, and my mom gasped at what she saw. "DO you like it?" My dad asked"Yes, it is beautiful. We have never lived in a house this beautiful before," My mom said truthfully. We had a two-bedroom house my grandmother left for us when she passed away. It wasn't as big and nice as the house we were in now, but it was our home. "I made sure the kitchen was fully stocked,
Aliza's Point of ViewWhen we made it back to the Packhouse, Catherine, Josh, and My dad were already outside waiting for us outside by the front door. My mom and I got out and walked up the stairs to where they were standing. We all greeted each other, walked into the packhouse, and made our way to the elevator to get to the Alpha Floor. On our way to the elevator, I saw Kayla walking with some of the maids. "Kayla, you have no idea how happy I am to see you," I screamed and hugged her. I couldn't stop thinking about the last time I had seen her. She had sacrificed herself so that I could get away. I could tell Kayla was shocked by how tense she was. "Um, hello," Kayla said, still tense. "Do you two know each other?" Catherine asked"No, I have never seen her before in my life," Kayla said"No, I just overheard some of your pack members saying nice things about her. I thought we could be friends," I lied. "Oh, okay. We should go and leave Kayla to do what she was doing," Catheri
Aliza's Point of View"Okay, stop," I screamed, causing everyone to look at me. "I have made my choice. I will be staying with my mom. I will meet pack members in school and at training. I will also come here and spend time in the packhouse, but I want to stay with my mom," I said. I wasn't going to sit there and listen to Catherine act all concerned about me and my father and also trying to make my mom look bad. I knew she didn't care about any of us. "Okay, whatever you want," My dad said"I agree," My mom added "If that is what you want then fine," Catherine said"Thank you," I replied "Since you brought up school I wanted you to know that I have already contacted White River High and let them know that you would be going to school there soon as a senior," My dad said"Okay, thanks. I would like to start school tomorrow," I said"Are you sure? You could wait a few days until you are settled," My dad said"I want to go. I don't want to fall too behind," I said"Aliza loves going
Aliza's Point of ViewI woke up to the sound of my alarm clock going off. I looked at the clock to see if it was seven in the morning. I didn't want to get up because I was really tired from staying up all night thinking about everything. Knowing that it would be my first day at a new school I got up and went into my bathroom to shower. While I was showering, I kept thinking about my parents and how they were most likely mates. From what my mom said, my dad had told her that they were mates, and she even felt a connection to him and sparks when they touched. I could tell they felt something for each other the night before. What I didn't get was why he left my mom for Catherine. What made him think that Catherine was his mate and not my mom? I knew I needed to get answers and quickly. Catherine had a plan, and that was to make sure Josh became the Alpha of the Pack and get rid of everyone who stood by my dad. I still didn't know if I could trust my brother. Catherine was his mom, and
Aliza's Point of View"This is your locker," Kayla said when we got to my locker. I already knew where my locker was and the code but I acted as if I didn't. "I am going to get my things out of my locker, and then we can walk to the first period together. You can sit by me if you would like," Kayla said"That would be great, thanks," I replied with a smile, then I walked with her to her locker. Once she got her things we headed to first period. "Can I ask you a question?" Kayla asked. We were early to the first period, and we were the only students in the classroom. The teacher was also not in the room yet. "Sure," I said"Why did you hug me the day you arrived? It seemed like you knew me, but I know we have never met before," Kayla said. I was silent for a moment, trying to figure out how to answer her question. I knew I couldn't tell her the truth. If I did, she would think I was crazy."Let's just say I have a feeling you and I are going to be great friends. That is if you would
Aliza's Point of View"Hello, Catherine," I said. It took a lot for me to keep the smile on my face as she walked up to me"Hello, Aliza. It is nice to see you here," Catherine said"Kayla and I are going to do our homework together," I said"That is nice. Do you mind if I talk to you for a moment in private?" Catherine asked. I wanted to yell at her and tell her that I didn't want to hear what she had to say, but I stayed calm. "Um, sure," I replied and looked at Kayla. "I will meet you in your room," I said"Okay," Kayla replied, and she walked to her room. Catherine and I walked up to her floor to talk. Once we got there, we sat on the couch in the family room. I stayed quiet, waiting for her to speak. "I wanted to apologize to you. I know I keep insisting on you staying here with your father and me. I just want to get to know you. Your mom kept you from us, and your father and I feel bad that we weren't able to be in your life," Catherine said. I wanted to cuss her out and let
Aliza's Point of View"I am from the future," I said and Kayla was silent for a moment before responding"What?""I came back from the future," I said and she started laughing hysterically. "Oh, you are so funny. You almost had me there," Kayla said still laughing"I am being serious," I said as I stared at her with a serious expresson on my face. Kayla instantly stopped laughing and look at me."You are being serious," Kayla said"Yes, I am," I said"Okay, well it is getting late and I am getting tired so maybe you should go," Kayla said"I know you don't believe me, Kayla but what I am saying is true. I came back from the past," I said"I can tell you believe what you are saying but..." "Look, Kayla. I know you think I am crazy but I'm not. I really came back from the past," I said "Yeah, sure you did," Kayla replied obviously not convinced"I can prove it to you," I said"How?" Kayla asked"I know that your favorite color is purple, your favorite food is chick-fil-A. You love da
Aliza's Point of View "What is my favorite color?" Kayla asked as she drove me home. "Gold," I said. Kayla had been asking me questions about her the whole ride home. I guess she wanted to make sure I was telling the truth about coming back from the future. Each question she asked I answered corrected and everytime her eyes seemed to get bigger. "Okay, one more question. What is my favorite Ice cream," Kayla asked "You have more than one. You like oreo, bubble gum, chocolate, cheesecake, and orange sherbert. You don't like any other sherbert," I replied. "This is so crazy. I can't believe the Moon Goddess brought you back from the future. You must be very special and you are my best friend," Kayla said. "Yes, I am," I replied "You know. I never had a best friend. All the girls..." "Have always been mean to you. You always wondered why none of them wanted to hang with you," I said and Kayla was silent for a moment before she replied "You are good," Kayla said "We had thi
