Aliza's Point of View
"This is your locker," Kayla said when we got to my locker. I already knew where my locker was and the code but I acted as if I didn't. "I am going to get my things out of my locker, and then we can walk to the first period together. You can sit by me if you would like," Kayla said
"That would be great, thanks," I replied with a smile, then I walked with her to her locker. Once she got her things we headed to first period.
"Can I ask you a question?" Kayla asked. We were early to the first period, and we were the only students in the classroom. The teacher was also not in the room yet.
"Sure," I said
"Why did you hug me the day you arrived? It seemed like you knew me, but I know we have never met before," Kayla said. I was silent for a moment, trying to figure out how to answer her question. I knew I couldn't tell her the truth. If I did, she would think I was crazy.
"Let's just say I have a feeling you and I are going to be great friends. That is if you would like to be my friend. You seem like a great person," I said
"Thanks, and I would like to be your friend," Kayla said, and I smiled at her. "Is it true that you didn't know that you were half werewolf?" Kayla asked
"Yeah, my mom kept it a secret from me. I didn't find out until I shifted for the first time," I said
"You must have been upset when you found out," Kayla said
"Yes, I was, but my mom and I talked while we were driving here, and she told me she didn't tell me to protect me," I said
"So, you aren't mad at your mom anymore?" Kayla asked
"No. I know my mom wouldn't do anything unless she thought it was for the best," I replied
"That is good. I can tell your mom and Luna Catherine aren't getting along," Kayla said, and I looked at her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to be noisy or anything," Kayla said
"No, it's alright, and you are right. My mom and Catherine don't like each other. Catherine keeps trying to convince me to live in the packhouse, and she keeps saying that I should move in since my mom kept who my dad was a secret," I said
"I overheard some of the pack members talking about that. Some of them overheard the conversation," Kayla said
"I feel that Catherine is trying to turn me against my mom," I said
"I am not trying to overstep, but I am sure that is what she is trying to do. Luna Catherine isn't the nicest woman, and you should watch out for her," Kayla said. That was what she told me the first time we met, but I didn't listen to her. I wish I would have listened to her warnings. She would warn me about Catherine, how she wasn't the nicest person, and how I shouldn't let her turn me against my mom, but I didn't. Now I knew the truth.
"Thank you, Kayla. I can tell you are going to become my best friend," I said, and she smiled.
The bell rang, warning everyone that class would start in five minutes. Soon, the teacher walked in and the students followed soon after.
The day went by quickly, and it felt like Daja vue. It was weird living the day over again, just like it had been the day before. At lunch, Kayla and I sat at the table we always sat at with the students we always sat with. It was crazy that no one but me knew that we had lived this day before. Everyone else talked as if it was the first time they were having the conversation. Everyone was smiling without a care in the world. If only they knew what was going to happen. If only they knew the danger they were in and that most of them would be killed. No, I wasn't going to think like that. I had to figure out how I was going to save them all.
One person I knew I could trust was Kayla, but I had to figure out how to tell her everything without her thinking I was crazy.
"I am so happy school is over," Kayla said as we walked to her car.
"So am I," I replied. She was taking me back to the Packhouse so that we could do homework together. I had already called my mom and let her know I was going to hang out with Kayla and would be back home later. She agreed and told me to have fun.
Once we arrived at the packhouse, Kayla parked the car, and we walked inside. We were about to head to her room when we heard the voice I didn't want to hear.
"Aliza," Catherine said, causing me to groan. I didn't want to have to deal with her fakeness yet.
Aliza's Point of View"Hello, Catherine," I said. It took a lot for me to keep the smile on my face as she walked up to me"Hello, Aliza. It is nice to see you here," Catherine said"Kayla and I are going to do our homework together," I said"That is nice. Do you mind if I talk to you for a moment in private?" Catherine asked. I wanted to yell at her and tell her that I didn't want to hear what she had to say, but I stayed calm. "Um, sure," I replied and looked at Kayla. "I will meet you in your room," I said"Okay," Kayla replied, and she walked to her room. Catherine and I walked up to her floor to talk. Once we got there, we sat on the couch in the family room. I stayed quiet, waiting for her to speak. "I wanted to apologize to you. I know I keep insisting on you staying here with your father and me. I just want to get to know you. Your mom kept you from us, and your father and I feel bad that we weren't able to be in your life," Catherine said. I wanted to cuss her out and let
Aliza's Point of View"I am from the future," I said and Kayla was silent for a moment before responding"What?""I came back from the future," I said and she started laughing hysterically. "Oh, you are so funny. You almost had me there," Kayla said still laughing"I am being serious," I said as I stared at her with a serious expresson on my face. Kayla instantly stopped laughing and look at me."You are being serious," Kayla said"Yes, I am," I said"Okay, well it is getting late and I am getting tired so maybe you should go," Kayla said"I know you don't believe me, Kayla but what I am saying is true. I came back from the past," I said"I can tell you believe what you are saying but..." "Look, Kayla. I know you think I am crazy but I'm not. I really came back from the past," I said "Yeah, sure you did," Kayla replied obviously not convinced"I can prove it to you," I said"How?" Kayla asked"I know that your favorite color is purple, your favorite food is chick-fil-A. You love da
Aliza's Point of View "What is my favorite color?" Kayla asked as she drove me home. "Gold," I said. Kayla had been asking me questions about her the whole ride home. I guess she wanted to make sure I was telling the truth about coming back from the future. Each question she asked I answered corrected and everytime her eyes seemed to get bigger. "Okay, one more question. What is my favorite Ice cream," Kayla asked "You have more than one. You like oreo, bubble gum, chocolate, cheesecake, and orange sherbert. You don't like any other sherbert," I replied. "This is so crazy. I can't believe the Moon Goddess brought you back from the future. You must be very special and you are my best friend," Kayla said. "Yes, I am," I replied "You know. I never had a best friend. All the girls..." "Have always been mean to you. You always wondered why none of them wanted to hang with you," I said and Kayla was silent for a moment before she replied "You are good," Kayla said "We had thi
Michael's Point of View"How was your day, Honey?" Catherine asked when I walked into our bedroom. "It was okay. We spotted two rogues trying to get on our territory, but we caught them," I replied"That's good. I wanted to talk to you about Aliza," Catherine said, and I already knew what she was going to say. "I don't understand why she doesn't want to live with us," Catherine said"I know you want Aliza to stay here, but she has lived with her mom her entire life," I replied"She should be upset with her mom for keeping you two apart. You are Aliza's father, and you deserve to get to know her. I think you should demand that she stay here with us. Honestly, you should kick Tina out of the Pack," Catherine said"Neither of those things are going to happen, Catherine. It is Aliza's choice who she lives with, and she chooses to stay with her mother. I will not kick Tina out of the Pack. She is Aliza's mother," I said. I was shocked at how upset my wolf was getting at Catherine's words.
Chapter 1 Aliza's Point of View "Come on, Kayla. We have to get out of here. We can't let them catch us," I told my best friend as we ran through the woods. Suddenly, she fell to the ground. "Kayla," I said. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her body to help her walk. I could hear the others getting closer. "You have to leave me, Aliza," Kayla said "No, I am not going to leave you, Kayla," I replied "You have to before they get to us. You know if they catch us, they will kill us both," Kayla said. I had to get her out of there. I had lost too many people already. I couldn't lose her, too. "I am not leaving you," I replied as I helped her up again. "There you are. Where do you think you are going?" I looked up to see my mate, Cain, the guy who betrayed me, standing there. "Stay away from me, Cain," I said "I'm afraid I can't do that," Cain said. Cain took a step closer to me, and I took a step back. "You are coming back with me," Cain said as he grabbed onto me.
Chapter 2Aliza's Point of ViewI woke up and saw that I was in a car. I looked over and was so happy to see my mom driving while I was sitting in the passenger seat."Mom, you're alive," I said happily."Of course, I am alive, sweetheart. Are you okay?" My mom asked, concerned."Yeah, I just had a bad dream," I replied. I couldn't help the tears that were coming to my eyes. My mom was killed over a month ago by rogues. I know now that Catherine hired the rogues to kill my mom."Look, Sweetheart, I know you're upset because I lied to you about your father, but I wasn't trying to. I thought I was doing what was best for you. I was trying to protect you. Now I know I was wrong, and I am sorry," My mom saidI shifted into a werewolf for the first time on my eighteenth birthday. I was so scared and confused when it happened. I had no idea werewolves existed. I woke up in the woods naked and afraid. I went home and told my mom what happened. That was when she told me the truth about who my
Aliza's Point of View"You have been silent for a while now, Sweetheart. Is there anything you would like to talk about?" My mom asked me while she drove the carOnce we were finished eating, we got back into the car and made our way to the White River Pack. I was a nervous wreck the entire drive to the White River Pack. There were many times that I almost told my mom that I didn't want to move there and that we should go somewhere else far away, but I knew that if I did that Catherine would win, and I couldn't let that happen."I am fine, Mom. I am just a little nervous," I lied"I understand why you are nervous, Sweetheart, but know I am here with you. I will always have your back," My mom said"I know that, Mom. I am so sorry I have been such a brat to you. You didn't deserve my attitude. I know you were doing what was best for me. You always have, and I want you to know that I love you so much, Mom. Thanks for everything," I said"You don't have to thank me, Sweetheart. I am your
Aliza's Point of ViewI heard the elevator ding, and my heart started beating fast. I looked over and saw my father, brother, and the woman who had destroyed everything, my stepmother Catherine, walking into the family room. My mom stood up, and I did the same as they walked closer to us. "Dad, I missed you. I love you so much," I said as I hugged him tightly. My dad had treated me well for the little bit of time I had known him. He was a great father to both Josh and me and I wished I would have met him sooner. I know I shocked him because of how tense he was, but then he relaxed into the hug and wrapped his arms around me hugging me back. "You have no idea how happy I am to hear you say that, Aliza. I wish I had known about you. I promise I would have been in your life," My dad said, and I pulled away from the hug. I looked at my mom to see she had tears in her eyes. "Hello, Tina," My dad said"Hello, Michael," my mom replied. They kept staring at each other. They would do that
