Chapter 13

Michael's Point of View

"How was your day, Honey?" Catherine asked when I walked into our bedroom.

"It was okay. We spotted two rogues trying to get on our territory, but we caught them," I replied

"That's good. I wanted to talk to you about Aliza," Catherine said, and I already knew what she was going to say. "I don't understand why she doesn't want to live with us," Catherine said

"I know you want Aliza to stay here, but she has lived with her mom her entire life," I replied

"She should be upset with her mom for keeping you two apart. You are Aliza's father, and you deserve to get to know her. I think you should demand that she stay here with us. Honestly, you should kick Tina out of the Pack," Catherine said

"Neither of those things are going to happen, Catherine. It is Aliza's choice who she lives with, and she chooses to stay with her mother. I will not kick Tina out of the Pack. She is Aliza's mother," I said. I was shocked at how upset my wolf was getting at Catherine's words. He didn't like the way she was speaking about Tina.

"Are you sure that is the only reason why you won't kick Tina out?" Catherine asked

"What are you trying to say?" I asked

"What I am saying is that it seems there is more to why you don't want to get rid of Tina. Maybe you have feelings for her," Catherine said

"You are my mate, Catherine. You are the woman I want to be with. I don't have feelings for Tina," I said as I wrapped my arms around her and kissed her softly. For some reason, my wolf was agitated by my actions.

"I guess I must be overthinking everything. I am going to order something for dinner. You should take a shower," Catherine said

"Okay, I will be down in a minute," I said, and I headed to the bathroom

"What is wrong with you?" I asked my wolf. Ever since Aliza and Tina had arrived, he had been acting different

"Catherine is getting on my nerves. I don't like how she speaks about Tina," My wolf replied

"She is just upset. I am sure she will get used to her being here," I said

"She is going to have to because we are not making her leave," My wolf said, and I agreed with him.

"I invited Aliza to dinner tomorrow night, but she didn't seem to want to come. I don't think she likes me," Catherine said as we ate dinner.

"I am sure that is not true. She is just not used to us yet," I replied

"If you made her stay with us, she would get used to us," Catherine said

"I already told you I am not going to do that," I replied, and Tina was silent.

"Are you going to drink your tea?" Tina asked

"No, I'm not in the mood for tea," I replied.

"Whatever, I am going to go talk with Janet," Catherine said. Janet was her best friend and one of the top warrior's mates.

"Okay," I replied

"I am going to go hang out with Scott," Josh said

"Okay, don't stay out late. Tomorrow is a school day," I said

"Okay, Dad," Josh said

"Josh," I said before he could get up and leave

"Yes, dad," Josh asked

"Are you and Aliza getting along?" I asked

"I really haven't really spoken to her. Mom thinks she doesn't want anything to do with us," Josh replied

"That isn't true. Will you do me a favor and try to get to know her," I asked

"Sure, Dad," Josh replied

"Thanks, son," I replied, and Josh left. I decided to go up to my room to get some sleep. It had been a long day, and I was tired. While I was lying in bed, I couldn't stop thinking about Tina.

Aliza's Point of View

I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off. I looked over at Kayla, who was stretching and yawning.

"It's morning already?" Kayla asked with a groan.

"Yep, we have to get ready for school," I said, and she put the cover over her head. I went to the walk-in closet to get the outfit I was going to wear, and then I went to the bathroom to shower. Once I was finished showering, I put on the light blue sundress I had decided to wear that day. I brushed my combed hair, letting it hang loosely down my back. Once I was done, I went back into my bedroom to see Kayla sitting up on the bed. She was going to wear one of my outfits since she didn't bring any of her clothes over.

While Kayla was getting ready, I headed downstairs to the kitchen. On my way to the Kitchen, I could smell the delicious smell of my mom's cooking.

"Hey, Mom," I said, and then I froze in my spot. I was shocked to see my dad sitting at the table drinking coffee, while my mom cooked breakfast. She was laughing at something he had said. Suddenly, they stopped talking and looked at me.

"Hello, Sweety."
