The meeting

MESSIAH JORDY'S POV

I got roughly dragged into the interrogation room and tossed to the ground with the shackles still around my hands.

“Ouch,“ A groan left me as my ribs rubbed against the floor. Did they really have to be so brutal?

“Careful!” Arlo's voice came up, and in the next second, a hand was stretched out to me.

I looked up and was met with a soothing smile on his face. Slowly, I took his hand and he helped me to my feet.

“Chin up. Put on a little smile. You'll be fine," He whispered into my ears, rubbing his fingers softly on my cheek.

I nodded, forcing out a small smile. He rubbed my arms like he was trying to pass a little bit of strength from himself to me.

“Enough of this lovey-dovey shit, okay? We came here for something more important,” Luther snapped at us.

Arlo flashed him a murder look but with a fake grin, “Does it annoy you? Then go get your mate and get all lovey-dovey with her. That's better than being a hater."
