MESSIAH JORDY'S POV

"Zoey?"

She ran up to me and pulled me into a suffocating hug, rocking our bodies like we were 5.

"Jordy, My God. I missed you so much,"

"Yeah, same here," I choked out, untangling her arms from my neck.

"Why?"

"You're suffocating me," I told her politely. Zoey was an overly-sensitive creature who got an unreasonable crush on me.

I tried to be gentle with her, not to hurt her any further than my secret would. It'd be a nightmare when she finds out that I'm a female and her feelings were inappropriate. I dread that awful day.

Zoey might be a sweetheart, but she was very irrational. I didn't want to imagine what her reaction would be. Just the thought of it broke my heart.

"Let me help you with that."

"Sure," I turned to one of the sentinels. "Where are my parents?"

"They're in a meeting, Your highness."

"Oh," I guess I'll just have to see them later.
