Chapter 31
(Dominic’s POV)True to Jake’s word, food arrived within the next thirty minutes. It was an arrangement of cold cuts and breads and cheeses, with some fruit selections. There was a note telling us that if we wanted anything else, to ring down to the kitchen.I used the food as an excuse to finally get Theia to sit down on the bed. She had explored the room, the adjoining bathroom, and all of the cupboard spaces over and over. I joked that maybe she was looking for a secret door or something, which had got her all excited and she went hunting for secret doors. I couldn’t help smiling at her excitement. It really was the happiest I had seen her. There was something about this place that really seemed to give her that extra buzz.Once we had eaten something, I pulled her into my arms, partly to stop her jumping up and exploring again, and partly because the constant need to touch her, to have her close grew st

Book Updates
I wanted to leave a quick note about the updates of this book. The Alpha's Human Seer is one of the firsts books in a large universe called The Dark Essence. It will be spread across five initial series and they all intertwine in some ways. While writing this book I have realised that part of this book will reveal spoilers for the other book I am writing right now (Alpha Hybrid Queen). At present, this book is two months ahead in the timeline to that book. My concern, and main reason for slowing down on updates is the spoilers. The Dark Moon pack meantioned in this book is the main pack in Alpha Hybrid Queen. In hindsight I should have strated that book first.  So my plan going forward is to update this book once a week. This should give me time to get working on Alpha Hybrid Queen (which is a longer book) and get it finished enough in time for this book to be back on daily updates starting April.  I promise this book will be finished (hoping b

Chapter 32
(Theia’s POV)I sat in the cold hard chair, my head on my arms, which were handcuffed to the table. I didn’t know how long I had been sitting here, but the room felt cold and dank and it had long since seeped into my bones. I felt exhausted, cold, and hungry. My head was pounding and the stench from the bucket of vomit next to me was only making my nausea so much worse. Over the past several hours, I had received visits from different stern looking people. Some asking questions, and the same questions. What type of supernatural was I? Who did I work for? What was my plan? How did I get my information? I answered them all the same. I’m a human. I don’t work for anyone. I don’t have a plan. And I really don’t know how the visions or dreams work. Then some came in and prodded and poked at me. They took blood and saliva samples as well as other uncomfortable examinations. I cried until I didn’t h

Chapter 33
(Theia’s POV)I huddled in the corner of the cement cell. My hands and feet were both chained tightly to the wall. There was a mix of dried and fresh blood from the chains that were digging into my wrists and ankles, and the slightest movement stung. My head was pounding, my body hurt everywhere, and I felt exhausted. I had no idea how long I had been here or when the last time I had eaten was. There was a thin sorry excuse for a mattress on one side that looked like it had been there since the dawn of time, and a hole in the floor, which was a substitute for a toilet. My face was puffy from the crying and I felt emotionally, mentally and physically drained. The door to the cell opened, and I saw two people walk in. I couldn’t see detail as the light was behind them, so they were just shadows.

Chapter 34
(Theia’s POV) “Nine days?” I exclaimed. I looked around at Dominic, hoping that he would correct the doctor. But the look in his eyes told me that wasn’t going to happen. I looked down at the tubes in my hands and then back at the doctor. I saw that she had followed my gaze. “The tubes have been nourishment while you were unconscious, and a sedative and pain relief to help,” she said, “I am happy to remove some of them, but I would like to keep you on the pain relief, at least for the next twelve hours.” I nodded as she spoke.  I suddenly felt numb. I had never had a seizure of this size before, and I couldn’t understand why I would have one now. I felt as Dominic squeezed my hand and I tried to force a smile on my face when I looked up at him. I knew that he knew that it was fake, but he took it anyway and

Chapter 35
(Theia’s POV)I stared at the doctor in disbelief. Here I was thinking that this type of thing didn’t happen, but the doctor was saying that I was some super rare supernatural type. I shook my head and closed my eyes.“No,” I said, “You must be mistaken. I’m human, I’m not supernatural.”“Yes, Miss Adams, you’re correct when you say that you are human,” the doctor said, and I looked back at her. “How can I be human and an oracle?” I asked, “I thought you said they were supernaturals.” “Well, that’s the thing about the oracles. They can be of any species,” she answered, “human or supernatural. Although

Chapter36
(Theia’s POV) I was about to ask what he meant when the door opened and Leah walked in, followed by Liam and Jake. Leah smiled brightly at me and ran over to hug me. Dominic growled and his hand tightened on mine, but Leah rolled her eyes and hugged me anyway. “I’m so glad you are awake,” she said. “You gave us quite the scare.” She turned to Dominic, and the smile dropped from her face. “It’s confirmed,” she said and then glared at Liam, “I honestly don’t know how he missed this, but Jake got word a few minutes ago about the awareness of a rare and powerful asset, and the order to obtain it by any means necessary.” I gasped and Leah looked at me and grimaced.  “Shit sorry Theia,” she said. "It’ll be okay, we will protect you, I promise.”

Chapter 37
(Dominic’s POV) “Dammit, Dominic!” Theia exclaimed, as she banged her knife and fork down on the table. “Give it rest. I am sick of hearing it.” “Theia, please I just-” I started, but she held her hand out and stood up from the dining table,“No!” she said sternly. “Just stop.” She turned to my parents at the head of the table,“I am sorry for the interruption,” she said and then turned and left the room. I dropped my head into my hands, fully aware that everyone’s eyes were on me.We had travelled back home the day after Doctor Greta’s revelation about what Theia was and the impact on her health. We had been home for four days and all Theia and I had done was fight. After I had heard that her life was in danger, I had instructed the warrior guard to be on full alert and made sure that Theia

Chapter 38
(Theia’s POV)I watched the flames as they burned. They didn’t move from the spot they were in. Just burned there, in that one place. Slowly I saw as the flames began to take the shape of a person. Finally, I could not only tell that it was a woman but a woman that I had met before. I smiled as the beautiful redheaded woman that I had met in Dominic’s apartment appeared.“Hello Theia,” she said with a smile that I couldn’t help but to return. “I have been trying to get through for some time, but it appears that I was blocked.” I nodded my head in response.“Isabella, right?” I asked, and she smiled with a nod. “Yes, I think the medicine they gave me at the Conclave was pretty strong. But I could feel you trying to get through, so I didn’t take it anymore.” “You visited the conclave?” she asked with raised eyebrows.“Yeah, and it wasn’t a nice visit either,” I said with a scowl.

Chapter 39
(Theia’s POV) “What!” Dominic exclaimed. “I’m not going anywhere, not now.”“You have to,” I said. “I saw you there, and it’s really important.” Dominic eyed me suspiciously.“You saw me there?” he asked, and I shrugged.“Well, not exactly, but I heard some of the warrior guys mention Sunset Rose pack.”“That doesn’t prove that I was there,“ Dominic frowned. “Maybe I send warriors up.”“That’s not the type of Alpha you are, and you know it.” We both looked over to the door where Leah was standing. “There is no way you would send men into a battle that you wouldn’t be willing to fight in yourself,” she said and I smiled at her. Dominic huffed and narrowed his eyes at me. “This isn’t your way of trying to get rid of me, so I don’t keep going on about the illness, is it?” he asked and I shook my head. The thought hadn’t even occur
