Chapter 31: Inner Demons
“E-ethan…” I groaned his name while he was pounding from behind. I separated my lips, panting for air, when he put his two fingers inside my mouth, playing with my tongue as he pummeled himself on mine. I choked as he slapped my foot, making a red check on the right cheek. He let out a groan as if diving in so much pleasure. I don't know why but it turned me on to hear him making a sound like he's enjoying it. He grabbed my hair and constrained my upper body to get up. My eyes set on the ceiling as he kisses my back neck, tracing a line with his tongue. I nearly cried when he went quicker and more demanding, making my groans turn into shouts of ecstasy. I can't see anymore, all I think of is Ethan rocking my body like we haven't seen each other for a year. He grabbed my right breast and caressed it brutally. He bit my earlobe, whispering something. I couldn’t get it clearly at first, but when he ceased for a minute,

Chapter 32: Speed Up
“Pack up.” I nearly jumped in my spot when he bashed his hands against the table. The bowl with milk and cereal spilled all over, making me close my eyes for a minute since a bit of milk sprinkled on my face. I moved my jaw and glared at him, which made him back away a little, whereas his hands were raised a little, indicating he was surrendering. I rolled my eyes at him, then took a napkin, cleaning my face and chest. “Ethan, what did I tell you about being violent?” I told him, like a mother chastening his child. I heard him let out a sigh at that point, cursed a little, which made me look at him in the eyes again. He harshly bit his lower lip, irritated, then sat before me. He tapped his fingers on the table, looking impatient. But I raised a brow at him, telling him he needed to calm down. Ethan is still battling with his self-control and how to open up with his feelings to me. There are times

Chapter 33: Rampage
“Come on, Ethan. Where are you?” I look around apprehensively. When I got home, the whole place was in shamble, as if a hurricane had tempest it. He must have gone ballistic since he thought I left him after our argument. I restrained to slap myself. What was I thinking? He wouldn't run away if I just told him I was going out. But it was supposed to be a surprise, so I didn't tell him. Now, he's on the loose around the city, probably looking for me. I just hope he wouldn't kill someone along the way. My feet are getting numb from running. I was running out of breath, and my heart pummeled alacritous. I ceased for a diminutive, composing myself. There was sudden traffic. Cars are blasting their horns, civilians are sticking their heads out of the car, yelling and cursing to move from the front. They look clueless about what’s going on. A long blare of a siren came to the scene. They got out of the car. Their authoritative pr

Chapter 34: Red Flag
He took a step forward, assessing the interior of the house. His eyes narrowed into slits, observing each corner of the room. When his eyes landed on Ethan, who stood up, his eyes were shooting blades towards Allen's spot. He growls, ready to attack the intruder. I pleaded with him with my eyes, asking him to take a seat, and we'll talk about this. I know Ethan isn't fond of new individuals, especially this wearing a uniform right here. But if he's stupid enough to expose himself to this guy, we're gonna get killed. “Please.” I mouthed to him, inquiring for him to calm down and be quiet, whereas I bargained with Allen. He gradually looks in my way, raising a brow. Our eyes lock for a minute, doing our little showdown about who will surrender. He let out a harsh breath, then pummeled himself on the couch, looking in the other direction. I bit my tongue, looked at Allen, put his hands on his pockets, and then looked down at me sinc

Chapter 35: Emergency Room
I was phasing back and forth before the emergency room. I couldn’t think properly as I nibbled my nails. Each second I look at the wall clock. He’s been there for hours, but it feels like an eternity. I couldn’t breathe appropriately, as my heart was pounding each minute, frightened of what I will find out. Medical attendants who walked past me told me to calm down and take a seat. However, I can’t. How can I if Ethan is inside that room battling for his life? I stopped dead in my tracks, frozen on my spot. My knees are getting frail, and my feet are numb from standing for hours. I needed to sit down, but I would just stand again since my body was stretched. I closed my eyes, praying silently, calling every saint to help Ethan. I know he’s a walking vile, sinful creature, a destruct-able humanoid, but he still incorporates a heart and a soul. I know his light is still there. It’s just secured with thick walls.

Chapter 36: To Bear
“His condition is stable now. He can be charged out.” I nearly wail in front of the doctor who helped us through Ethan’s journey here in the hospital. I took his hand and then shook it. Words can not express how appreciative I am of this day. The doctor grinned, then gestured his head. He cleared out the room, closing the door behind him. I looked at Ethan, who was looking through the window. Arms are crossed together. I sat next to him, caressing his hair. “Ethan, I’m getting you out of here. Aren’t you happy?” I whispered, attempting to touch his cheeks when he recoiled, then looked away, unable to say anything. Something penetrated my heart, befuddled why he acted like this. “Ethan looked at me.” I got up and then went around the bed, putting my hands over my waist and blocking his view from the window. He brought down his head, looking at the ground. I couldn&rsqu

Chapter 37: Bikers
“Can we go out this time?” I halted what I was doing when Ethan abruptly opened the door to our room. I nearly had a heart attack because he didn’t knock as I was enjoying my peace here alone. I sighed, set aside the clothes I was folding, and looked at him. His thick fiendish brows were corrugated, nearly in a straight line while pressing together his lips, expecting my reply. He has been asking me to go out, but these past few days, I have refused since I feel feverish. My body and intellect aren’t in the temperament to go out. I just wanted to remain in the house and just do the chores. I know Ethan has been bored since he stopped his hunting phase, and somehow, he’s controlling his violence. Now, he’s finding a way to ease out his ennui. “I don’t know, Ethan. I’m-” he abruptly sat down beside me, resting his backhand on my neck. He moved his jaw and then set

Chapter 38: Dumbfounded
“What did you say?” the leader I arrogated looked at Ethan gradually with minacious and heavy eyes. His jaw stirred, then he stepped forward, tilting his head a little to his left while inspecting Ethan from head to toe. Ethan did not stir in his place. He looks at the man with no emotion indicated in his eyes. "E-ethan…" I whispered, capturing his attention even though I knew he wouldn't look at me. His dull eyes and the dim circles underneath made me step back, gulping the knot in my throat. I shook my head, praying quietly he wouldn't alter here, not before these maniacs. They can sue him. They aren't afraid to tell everybody. “I said…” he took a step, his hands are on his pockets as his eyes filtered each of them. I called his name, pleading, but the other man holding my arms pushed me behind him, making me almost falter on the ground. They are all looking at Ethan right now, and I can’t see hi

Chapter 39: Unborn
The bikers and I look at each other with each flabbergasted looks. I wanted to slap myself, unsusceptible to comprehend what was going on. The guy took many pictures with Ethan, entertained and low-key fancying. I let out a distrustful clarion utterance of annoyance. Ethan was just watching the man, either considering slaughtering him or not. “Man! These are so cool! Anyway, I’m going to get back to work. Catch you afterward, my dude.” he winked at Ethan, then pointed his two fingers at him, squirming his eyebrows. We all watched him get inside the store, looking over through his phones, probably editing the pictures as his souvenir. A deafening blasting hush filled the entire area. I flickered, then looked at the bikers who also looked at me. “So, what now?” they asked, and I shrugged my shoulders. We looked at each other before Ethan let out a blistering howl, making the ground shake somew

Chapter 40: So Lost
I was not my usual self while preparing breakfast this morning. After spending days in the hospital, I was finally charged out, and now, I’m here alone in this adequate house. I haven’t seen Ethan for days. I have no idea where he might be. However, my mind is coasting elsewhere, and I couldn’t rest for days because of the nightmares haunting me. I couldn’t even blink or close my eyes for five minutes. All I’m seeing is that frightful scene that keeps on rehashing in my mind. The guilt was sneaking through my system until it consumed my whole willpower, and presently I couldn’t think straight. I know it’s neither of our faults, but still, we failed to protect our unborn child. I can’t live forever with this guilt I am carrying. Each time I had the chance to shut my eyes, my body trembled with agitation. I sometimes see myself crying on the floor, begging for this to stop. It’s like bottling up all my feelings
