I’m surprised that Spencer and Amory are already up as I make my way to the kitchen in time to hear him ask her, “why do you eat that every day”? From the doorway, I see Amory is sitting on the island countertop with Spencer in front of her. He has his arms resting on her thighs and his hands clasped together behind her back. She shrugs before saying, “tastes good.
