Chapter Twenty-One
I headed straight to my room after shouting at Asher, I still didn’t know what to make of the situation that just occurred. I understand that he didn’t actually do anything to those men, but what if I hadn’t have shown up and stopped it, I know he wouldn’t think twice about killing those men.But that wasn’t the part which was making me more upset, it was the fact he was doing it because of what the men tried to do to me. Yes, he’s just looking out for me and of course, I wanted those men to receive some kind of punishment for what they did, but not death! What if he had gone through with it, would all of those people believe it was something I wanted to happen? To put those thoughts at the back of my mind, I head to my wardrobe taking out some decent clothes because the choice I had made in a rush, was not a good one. My hair was also turning into a disaster, so after a couple of minutes of brushing, I looked much more presentable. But once I leave the bathroom when I was all done, I

Chapter Twenty-Two
Waking up beside Asher felt good, it had to be one of the nicest sleeps I’ve had in a long time. Since everything I was forced to endure back home, I always felt lost and scared when I would wake up alone. But when I awoke today, the feeling of belonging engulfed my entire being and I felt free in a sense.Asher would normally, leave to get some important work done but today he didn’t. We woke up around lunchtime where he told me there would be no point starting work late, so he gave himself a day off to spend it with me. Asher and I actually hadn’t spent a day together since I arrived here, he always has to leave to get whatever work done. So, when he told me he’d be able to stay with me, I got extremely excited. We agreed that after we both ate, he would give me an overdue tour of the entire pack. I had been hoping somebody would show me around so next time I was alone, I would know the great spots to sit and have a peaceful time with myself. It was also the first time I’ve eaten so

Chapter Twenty-Three
After even more hours of organising, I had finally put all of the years' worth of papers away. His office looked so much neater and workable, only a few mini paper cuts as battle wounds but we were smooth sailing. I close the filing cabinet as the office door knocks twice and opens up, Cameron and Becky walking into the office with smiles on their faces but I got a feeling from them, something was on their minds.“What happened in here, I can see your desk and the floor?!” Cameron asks gobsmacked in a sense looking around, I just smile walking closer to Asher and his desk before Becky runs at full speed over to me engulfing me in a hug.“It’s great to see you better and not in excruciating pain.” She asks squeezing me so tightly that she cut off my air for a second, but I was soon released where she takes a step back looking at me. “It’s also amazing that we no longer have to hide things from you, I see you’re not running for the hills after learning about werewolves.” She smiles whic

Chapter Twenty-Four
Asher and I walk out first, he held tightly onto my hand as though he was worried, I was about to make a run for it. But that thought didn’t cross my mind even once, I wanted to see these people which everyone hates so much and who might also hate me before they know me. Becky and Cameron walked behind us, none of us daring to utter a word from the anticipation from what these people may want.I was unsure if they had given a reason for their arrival, let’s hope it’s not to declare that Becky must leave now she’s in a pack with a human for Luna.We soon arrive in the lobby area of the pack house, two older looking people standing by one of the sofas looking around the walls. By the looks on their faces, I knew the walls and the many features around were the topic of their conversation. But they soon look over and spot us, their eyes instantly going to me as I held Asher’s hand.“Good evening, Mr and Mrs Warren.” Asher says making us come to a stop right in front of them, they both tur

Chapter Twenty-Five
Waking up today in an unfamiliar environment was vastly different to what I was used to. Initially, when I woke up, I was a little confused and scared that I had somehow been kidnapped…. again. But when Asher walked in from the bathroom with a smile on his face, I remember that I had agreed to move in with him.I must say one thing, his house is one of the nicest I have ever seen in all of my life. When I first arrived here, I thought the pack house was gigantic, but that does not compare to the size of the house I’m currently sitting in! I was amazed at the sheer beauty of the place, Asher told me once he took the role as Alpha, he designed every last detail of the house which he will live in for the rest of his life. The number of rooms it has also blew me away, he told me it has nine bedrooms, ten bathrooms, a ballroom, dinner hall and three offices! How can one person use all of them?!I showered in the en-suite bathroom which was double the size of the bathroom I had been using,

Chapter Twenty-Six
In no time at all, Asher and I left his house begin our walk a little way down the road to Cameron and Becky’s. Asher explained as Cameron is the Beta, he also has a pretty nice house, but he was sure to remind me, his house was still the biggest in the pack. I couldn’t help but laugh at this, he seems to be very proud of that fact.As we walk hand in hand through the woods, I couldn’t wipe the smile off my lips. For the first time in months, I was genuinely happy. When I was on the trip with the guys, there were many happy moments that I’ll treasure for the rest of my life, but I still couldn’t shake the sad feeling. I knew deep down that the trip was only a little break from the chaos and pain, after it was finished, I would be forced back home where all of the reminders of what had happened would be right in front of me.But now I’m here and have learnt why, I know this is a complete fresh start where nobody knows what happened in my past. None of them will feel pity towards me as

Chapter Twenty-Seven
We soon enter the bustling town; it seems as though this town is always busy any time of the year. When I came with the guys before, we had to wait in a line outside of a shop just to be able to go into the shop! Tanya wouldn’t have any of it when we told her to come back, so all four of us were made to wait while she fantasised over what she was going to buy. But annoyingly, she left the store with nothing! Apparently, nothing was calling to her, so she left! That has been the only time I have wanted to physically assault someone.Asher’s arm was still draped around my shoulders as we begin to weave through people, Becky seeming to have the best time looking in all of the shop windows.“Where to first?” She asks looking around like a child in a sweet shop, this only proving how similar her, and Tanya really are, let’s hope she doesn’t also make us wait outside of a shop for hours!“The place the purpose of the trip was, the post office.” Asher tells her in a duh tone slightly, I smil

Chapter Twenty-Eight
I stare at him for what felt like a lifetime, he stood with his hands in his pockets looking around the built-up town. This didn’t surprise me, he was always the same, a carefree guy who would rather people watch than stare at his phone. Apparently, you see more when you just look up from the device than any website or video the internet world has to offer! Yes, he’s one of those people. The last time I saw him was over a year ago, he and his girlfriend Sharon had left to go travelling the world. They arguably got that idea from me and Tanya, but that’s neither here nor there.Connor and I have always been close friends, he is also from Boscastle and after Tanya and I moved to London, he used the excuse that he didn’t want to leave two defenceless women all alone in London to make his exit. I didn’t buy his excuse for even a second, he wanted out of that small village more than anyone. The day he showed up at our door, he thanked me for giving him the opening to leave before he rented

Chapter Twenty-Nine
The wind whipped through my hair as Asher continued to run in the direction of my new home, but my mind was still consumed with the memories of what happened at my old home. I had been successful in recent months at burying the memories, but now Connor had caused a few to wiggle their way into my mind, the flood gates to the rest had been opened. The more I would push down the memories, the stronger they would get, and it was all I could think about.~~“Are you sure it’s safe to drive in these conditions, you know you both are always welcome to stay the night or even until the storm passes?” Scott’s mother Ashely asks standing outside of her front door, the sky was dark due to the rumoured storm which was approaching the city later tonight.“Thank you for the offer mum but we’ll be alright, I have such a backed-up work schedule that I can’t afford to miss another day.” Scott says as he reaches the gate to his parents' house, I wanted to agree with him but the clouds which were loomin

Chapter Thirty
Somewhere in my floods of tears, Asher had picked me up and carried me to the bedroom, so I wasn’t laying on the floor right in front of the door. I was unclear on why these feelings had resurfaced, this is the same way I acted when Scott first passed away, but now months later, I thought I was passed it. But for some reason when Connor brought him up, it knocked me right back to where I was. When I was at home, I knew my friends and family made it a point not to bring him up or what had happened. They knew if I dare even spoke about it, I would be on the floor in a complete mess. Looking back, they ensured and made it a point to remove anything which related to Scott away from my sight. I was never left alone; it was either my parents or my friendship group at my apartment just sitting with me or hugging me as I cried. I will be forever thankful to all of the sacrifices they made for me; I wouldn’t have been able to get through those initial months if it weren’t for them.Asher had s
